welcome, man. Nice blog. I'm a big FFVII fan too. Pixlbit is a nice place, and they have been very welcoming and have fixed up the site for us and whatnot.
Welcome aboard.

Well i will say first off i'm not much of a blogger but I will try to write here when I can :). Anyways I guess since this is my first blog I should get some introductions out of the way.
My names Matt and i came here because a friend I know on 1up (State_Alchamist) told me this is where most of you fellow 1upers came to so here I am. I was known on 1up as Cloudkillerff7. I wasn't very famous but there was a few people that knew me in the higher ups and I believe one actual old staff member use to talk to me a lot but that's a different story. I joined 1up in late 2005 and i departed around 2008 because of the change of site, mainly killing off the clubs section and pretty much changing the whole layout of the site. So i did leave 1up but I wouldn't say I left it for good, just didn't wanna be active on there anymore. I of course signed in many times checking to see if anyone actually cared about me or wanted to let me know what was up with their life so I guess that clears up the 1up side of me.
Since this is a gaming site i'm sure most of you would love to know what kind of gamers i am, how i started, etc, etc. I'm not gonna try and write a book, but I'll get the important bits out of the way. I started gaming at the age of 4 with a super nintendo that my parents bought me. My first ever game I played was Legend of Zelda: A Link to The Past which of course is a amazing game to this day but for my age at the time, I didn't understand anything about it so I moved on to games such as Super Mario World and Donkey Kong Country. Till i turned 8, SNES was my hobby so naturally my parents knew by now i was a gamer so my dad went out and bought me a Playstation. He gave me Final Fantasy VII and Resident Evil 2 with it. I tried both out but Resident Evil 2 at the time grew my attention more due to the blood/gore and just how scary it was. Never played anything like it in my life, on the other hand I did play Final Fantasy VII but I only made it to 7th Heaven(Avalanches hideout/Tifa's Bar) and gave up on it.
So my parents bought me a few more games on my ps1 but for Christmas that same year they got me a Nintendo 64 which this was the holy grail of gaming in my lifetime mainly cause I almost owned the entire library of games so you can say I loved my N64 to death. When I turned 11, N64 for some reason just wasnt cutting it on my interests anymore so i turned back to my PS1 and retried Final Fantasy VII and here was where my life as a gamer changed. Now that I understood the role playing elements, it opened my eyes as a gamer. I now realized games can have big story narratives, characters you can relate to and care about and of course, a actual world to explore. There was nothing I played like it before at the time so of course It blew me away and started my grand adventure of not only wanting to play most rpgs that came out but any game I felt that seemed interesting till this day I still try and play.
As the years moved forward I moved onto having a PS2, PS3, PSP, Xbox, Xbox 360, Wii and finally recently a 3DS. From age 11 I can say I have been a hardcore gamer enthusianst. It's my love and I can't ever get enough of it. I didn't have my friends growing up so to me my video games were my friends and they meant the world to me and honestly they still do. Part of me still doesnt know how I would have turned out without video games.
For me as a person, I'm a very nice man who from what everyone tells me doesn't act like most guys in the world and isn't ever a jerk( just what i've heard from countless people so I'll take it). I have a associates degree in digital print and web design and I do a bit of graphic design in my spare time. I'm a gamer/artist at the end of the day who loves making friends, listening to my music, gaming when I can and I also love a good action or comedy flick. There is definitly more to me than meets the eye on certain things but one things for certain If you do want to be my friend, i will give you my word I will be a true friend and never hurt you. Just not the kind of person I am and never will be and with that I shall wrap this up. Thanks for reading :).
Thank you for the warm welcome. I'm hoping people here will actually give my blogs a chance and read them. I have to strike some thoughts and ideas before I will want to write any so that's why when I do, they are really long haha. Anyways I'll be sure to keep in touch and read your blogs as well.
Welcome to Pixlbit dude, glad to have you here. And you know, we are almost the same, I mean we started gaming at a young age and kinda moved on to other systems later on. I'm also pretty nice and easy going and it's nice to meet new people. Well, welcome, can't wait to see what you put up as blogs and see you around.
Welcome! I was a 1up lurker and decided to try blogging here, but I have not been very productive at all so I get your delima, lol! I can say that everybody here seems to be pretty cool and the comments sections are different than most sites. This place has a way more positive vibe.
Welcome! I think the number of good people here far outweighs the jerks. Come to think of it, I'm not sure i've actually crossed paths with any jerks on this site. I hope you keep posting for what it's worth. You've a similar gaming background to me with FF7 changing your perspective on videogames
