Good evening everyone.

Tonight I thought I’d showcase another relatively new YouTube Channel of the name Scary Interesting. Though the channel originally started out with 10 ten lists, reddit story encounters and the like, it seems the channel has found its groove by showcasing caving explorations gone wrong. I don’t recall how I found this channel recently but the stories, narration and the subject matter of both above and underwater caving stories instantly hooked me.

Ever since recovering from COVID there’s something about the fear of losing oxygen while underwater caving or underground cave-ins that is much more poignant to than it was before. And though the narrator doesn’t embellish any of the tragedies, his wording and presentation just hits home the gravity of the situation that those involved find themselves in. The fact that Scary Interesting has 396K subs from his first video being uploaded 8 months ago says something.

I’ve chosen two of my current favorite stories I’ve viewed so far but I challenge you to check out his Collection of Horrible Fates videos if you’re more into compilations.

So, my personal experience with COVID was far more mild, but I've always had a fear of dying by being crushed/being deprived of oxygen.

I don't see myself caving or diving anytime soon. the best I can do is watch these stories and be thankful I know better.

Yikes. Real life stories are always more scarry than any made up tale.

Indeed. The fact that it can happen to anyone, no matter how skilled, makes one think twice.
