It's been quite a while hasn't it?
Pardon my extended absence. With all the college stuff, job stuff, school stuff, prom stuff, and graduation planning stuff, I've had little time on my hands. And whatever time I did have I didn't necessarily want to spend writing. So, forgive me.
Before I say anything of importance, I'll take this chance to hop on Rodney's "Gametag to Face" bandwagon. Also, I think I'll take it a little further and open up the comments to questions. If you have anything you'd like to ask, about me or anything, have at it and I'll probably answer with a detailed response. Assuming you don't ask for my address....So....here's me, if you haven't seen me already.
I hate smiling so, you're welcome. And everyone tells me I have anime eyes and I'm just like....is that even possible?
On a completely unrelated note, I apologize to all of you who for some reason decided to follow me on Twitter or add me on Facebook. I'm sure you're finding out the hard way that as much as I rant and rave about video games, it's even worse when it comes to daily life. So yeah, sorry.
I finished Bioshock Infinite the other day. Really good game. But allow me to be the devil's advocate for a second as I talk about the one thing I didn't like about it: the combat. I don't know, I wasn't exactly expecting something out of this world or anything, and it's not bad by any means, but for a game where everything else is so wonderfully crafted, I was surprised that combat didn't have more depth. Sure the vigors and skylines added some dramatic effect and novelty points, but for me that wasn't enough to hide how repetitive and uneventful combat was. Still a great game though, and GOTY nominee for sure.
I borrowed Heavy Rain from one of my friends recently. I'd heard a lot about it obviously, but I'd never really gotten around to playing it until now. I know it was some dramatic storytelling masterpiece when it was first released, but honestly it's kind of boring to me. And it's not even that old. I'm pretty sure it was released in like 2010 or something. I don't know, maybe going into it with a good idea of what I was going to see ruined the experience for me. Wouldn't be the first time.
I'm also really excited to finally play Final Fantasy Tactics for the first time. Luckily, I don't really know much about it except that it's supposed to be good, so, there's that.
Graduation is right around the corner, so after that, get used to seeing way more of me around here than you ever thought you wanted to. I'm even thinking of starting up a long abandoned project that died with 1UP hehehe.
