Games Beaten

-Spider-Man (PS4)

I love that the story begins with a well-established Spider-Man rather than making us go through his origin story again. I feel the game does a good job balancing the cinematic story bits with the free exploration of the city. There is a lot to do outside the story but the game doles it out at a good pace and makes things different enough that it doesn't feel too samey. And the simple act of playing is fun. The game is not without occasional frustrations but they don't derail the experience.

Games Bought

I've just got a few things for June. For our anniversary a friend gave my wife and I It Takes Two (PS5), co-op game about a couple having marriage problems (but don't worry, my wife and I are fine). The next was a game one of my sons saw on Youtube called Spirit of the North (PS5). He worked for the money and bought it (helped that it was on sale). You play as a fox and explore linear 3D environments to...free souls? Or something. It looks fun. The last thing is Jurassic World Evolution 2 (PS5). This PS+ game is a Jurassic Park management sim and I think my kids will get a big kick out of it.

Games Being Played

-Shadowrun Returns (Switch)

I think I'm nearly done with this RPG. I love the cyberpunk-fantasy world of Shadowrun.

-It Takes Two (PS5)

We keep talking about playing this more, and I'm sure we will.

-Destiny 2 (PS5)

Fighting baddies under Titan's methane sea!

-Depixtion (Switch)

Mooooore picross!

-Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate (Switch)

The endgame grind continues. These monsters are not messing around. I maxed out one of my swords though.

Jurassic World Evo is a cool series. I found the first one good but sometimes complicated. I'd love to try 2 sometime. It's on Game Pass now too, so I have no excuse.

I've heard good things about It Takes Two.  I don't have anyone in my life right now to play it with me, so it's not a big priority for me, though.

It does a good job of keeping things interesting and making sure the two players actually have to cooperate, rather than just doing the same thing together. I don't know how these two characters are going to work out their marriage by the end of this though. That part is not going real well Sealed

I couldn't get past the slow pace of Spirit of the North but It Takes Two is a really fun divorce to experience!

If only all divorces involved firing combustible nectar at giant wasp robots Laughing

They all do in spirit, I think. I dunno, never got married or had kids. I figure there's at least split-screen puzzle-solving involved.
