Darn it, I forget to get the Mario Oreos last week. I'll have to remember that.
I checked out that Taito collection a few weeks back but didn't really have much interest in the games chosen. Maybe New Zealand Story, but that's it.

Halloween is this month, so here’s some treats for you! Reviews I’ve written recently over at GamerDad.com. Please click on the links and read as many as you can, and maybe post a ‘like’ or comment or two. I’d appreciate it. OK let’s begin!
A couple of years ago, Oreo made some cookies with Pokémon characters on them! And now they’re back but with Mario characters. So let’s take a look at them! It’s too bad they didn’t have Wario as a character, because then you could have a Wa-Oreo! Get it? Honestly I’m not a big fan of Oreos. I don’t care much for that cream in the center. If they made them without the cream, I’d probably like them better, but nobody else would.
Video game maker Taito has a lot of history behind it. Just as much as other long-time developers such as Namco and even Nintendo! Some of the games they’ve made you’ve surely heard of, like Space Invaders, Bubble Bobble, Bust-A-Move, and many, many more. And now there’s a second collection of classic Taito games on the Switch, so let’s take a look at what’s on there!
Pups and Purrs Pet Shop (Switch)
Now you can work at a pet store with Pups and Purrs Pet Shop. Do retail themed mini-games like scan barcodes, clean the floors, and stick on prices as well as take care of pets. All sorts of cats and dogs are waiting for you to play mini-games to brush, feed, and play with them. And when they’re ready, you can find forever homes for them, too! This is actually a sequel/spinoff to a game I reviewed a couple of years ago called Pups and Purrs Animal Hospital.
Travel back to the 90s where virtual pet keychains were the big thing. But in Wildagotchi on Switch, you’re not just limited to taking care of just cats and dogs. In this one, you can care for all sorts of wild animals, like a wolf, panda, giraffe, gorilla, hippo, and even a dinosaur!
A lady who runs a flower shop is tired of being mistreated by all the men in her village, so she seeks out a giant lady who may be able to help her turn into a giant herself. Giant Wishes is a visual novel on Switch. Normally I don’t review these, but every once in a while I may try one to see if I like them better. It hasn’t happened yet, though.
Alchemic Cutie is a farming sim that combines aspects from two other popular agriculture games: Stardew Valley and Slime Rancher. You play as Yvette, a young lady who has just graduated from Alchemy School. She lives with her family on their slime farm, and now she’ll use her newfound skills to raise and breed slimes and help out the townsfolk.
We’ll finish with a couple of cat related games. Learn all about the solar system and constellations with a star-gazing feline in Cat’s Cosmic Atlas. Guide the astronomer cat around a study as you float in space and gaze up at the night sky to read up on planets and stars in this educational interactive encyclopedia.
Last and definitely least. An evil wizard has ransacked a village and kidnapped a catgirl’s sister. Guide the catgirl in this 2D platform jumping adventure. This is one of the worst games I’ve played this year.
And that’s all for now! Thanks for reading and posting ‘likes’ and comments on my reviews. I do appreciate it. Happy Halloween! --Cary
