Well good afternoon Pixlpeeps!I figured by this time I would have completed Spider-Man but I haven’t so here I am. So let’s see what I’ve been playing
Spider-Man - Steam: Currently I sit at 80+% finished with the game. I finished all the side missions, did the majority of all the little side quests because I wanted to head into the end of the game with the most power Spider-Man I could have. I have also found that I could craft gadgets and I’ve been tinkering with the combinations that work with my play style and I think for now I do have it.
I usually leave my gripes for after finishing the game but I do have a couple that I’d like to share now:
-control of the character gets a little wonky at times mainly climbing the buildings. It doesn’t feel as fluid as everything else in the game and at times it seems sluggish and direction gets a little frustrating
-The non Spider-Man levels. I get that it adds to the pacing and gives a different view of the game, but it feels it takes me out of the rhythm of the game. It’s a lot slower and I like to run n’ gun.
R.A.C.E. - (Android) Play Pass: So this is a pay to win game that became available on Play Pass. I figured why not give it a spin, at worst I play it a day, uninstall it and move on, but so far this game isn’t bad. It’s not good, and I wouldn’t spend money on it but for what it is, it’s fun. Think Mariokart meets Gear Club, short races with weapons. You can upgrade vehicles by earning in game currency, special currency and if you wanted using real money. Since this is part of Pass, everything is free so I’m starting every race with a maxed out vehicle. It’s basically how it felt like when we were able to mod games. I think the appeal is more for this almost God Mode than actual game play.
Other than these games there really isn’t anything that I’m really wanting to play right now. Once I finish Spider-Man I may go back to Anthem and Destiny 2. Both games are scratching that FPS itch and games where I don’t really have to pay attention to the story. I also started the most recent Saints Row but I haven’t been back in a while.
All righty y’all I am off. I just finished ripping the newest CDs I bought from the Goodwill and Target (20 new albums and a couple of singles from iTunes). I’m going to go enjoy those finds while watching the overcast sky here in Vegas. Have a good one!
-Chris
