Well Good Morning Pixlpeeps! I just finished breakfast and I thought I would update you all on the games I’ve been playing.
Games Finished:
Spider-Man Remastered - Steam: I want to say I beat this game on Sunday, and then finished off the remaining handful of crimes that were happening in different sections of the city before getting the 100% and unlocking the N+ mode. Overall this game is a lot of fun and an absolute steal at $31 that I paid. This is one of the few games that I wanted to play as much as possible and made time to do so. My minor gripes are the controls in certain aspects like wall climbing and moving directions. It’s possibly more user error than actual gameplay but it bothered me because at times it was hard to move in the direction I wanted. There is a lot to do in the game even if many of the side quests are repetitive. I really wasn’t a fan of the stealth aspects because I felt it took you out of the rhythm but other than that love this game. Easy A.
Currently Playing:
Spider-Man Remastered - Steam: So I decided to try out the mods and kick up the difficulty to ultimate. I use the N+ mode so everything I unlocked, and crafted are brought over to the new game so all the new suits, weapons, etc. I am also using the mods for unlimited weapons, color corrected environment, and I’m using a Batman skin in a Marvel World. That’s my favorite part, especially after standing on top of Avengers Tower.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales - Steam: I started playing this game and there really isn’t a learning curve because it’s the same as Spider-Man. One thing that bothers me is Miles Morales. I think it’s the voice, it’s just not clicking with me. I did unlock a couple of suits because of connecting to the PSN Network, and once again I’m using mods and have the unlimited weapons. Now this is like not having to wait for the web to reload. I like using the hologram fighters and throwing 10 or more and not having to worry about the other enemies.
College Football Revamped (NCAA Football 14) - PS3 (Emulator): Ok so I don’t know if I talked about this game but it’s a community updating of the game NCAA Football 14, uses the same engine, but the conferences, rosters, and logos are updated. Also one of the coaching tree options has been tweaked. I think you can play the game on a console but I’m running it on my PC and it runs smoothly. The only “glitch” is that sometimes the grass behind the endzone will disappear and part of the game screen is mirrored in the empty area.
Asphalt 9 - Android: still just collecting stuff. Nothing else really going on for me in the game. Sometimes I’ll race but it’s mainly just collecting.
Other Things
Chris Reads:
I’m currently reading three books, and I finished two books in 2024 for my Reading Challenge on Good Reads. Currently I am reading
A.X.E. Judgement Day - Marvel: I didn’t get the Omnibus so I’m reading it through the issues which is kind of funky because it jumps around from one title to another but at the same time it’s fun to do this. The concept looked interesting so I decided to give it a spin. So far I am close to 50% finished.
The Nineties: A Book - Chuck Klosterman: I’ve read his other books and found them interesting so when I saw this I had to check it out. It’s interesting to see the 90s through someone else’s eyes. This is an audiobook and I listen to it on my commute to work.
Matering Digital Photography - Jason Youn: This is a short book but for me I’m reading it like a text book so I’m taking notes. This book explains all the things you learn about from using an SLR on Manual Settings. Things I know how to do already, it explains why I do the things I do and what each thing means. So when I change up the shutter speed, the F-Stop, and other fun things like that, it explains what each thing does. I’m reading this so when people ask why I use certain settings to get certain looks in my photos.
Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. Have a good one!
-Chris
