I had an opportunity to review that Retro Bowl game when it first came out. But I passed on it as I'm not a big football fan.
02/05/2024 - Finished Game #2 And What I'm Playing

It’s raining, I just finished my sixth book of 2024 Reading Challenge on Goodreads, and I am ready to throw down my random thoughts about whatever I played this past week and a half…GOOD MORNING PIXLPEEPS! Alright let’s see what I remember playing
Finished
Spider-Man: Miles Morales - Steam: I finished this game and I have to say I enjoyed the storyline much more in this game than the regular Spider-Man. This game was a lot shorter and there wasn’t as much filler missions but the quality was still the same. I was annoyed by Miles Morales in the beginning of the game, and still a bit by his voice throughout but it wasn’t a deal breaker. I think it helped playing the other game first because I was already used to the gameplay and the mechanics so the transition was easy.
I wasn’t a fan of the political message at the end, mainly because I was here to play a game, enjoy the story and not have real world be thrown into it like that. Now I did use some mods, mainly having real ads in the background (this is kind of funny because I’m not a fan of product placement in games but when there’s fake ads I want the originals. Weird.)
I absolutely enjoyed the story and loved the roller coaster aspect of its telling. I kinda figured it out early but still was shocked when it was revealed. Overall I give this game a solid A.
Currently Playing:
Spider-Man: Remastered - Steam: I played a bit to unlock some trophies and to make progress in the playing in Ultimate Mode.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales - Steam: Same as regular Spider-Man but I’m around 90% finished with the trophies. I need to find a spot where I can unleash a 100 hit combo.
The Crew 2 - Steam: I uninstalled it and reinstalled the game and it finally works! I started playing it and I don’t like it. I just wanted a racing game and this one wants me to race in a boat, plane, offroad, and car. There’s missions like delivery and other wacky things. It’s like a dumbed down version of Forza.
Forza Horizon 4 - Steam: I went back to this game after moving it to a different hard drive and it now runs a lot smoother, hell it actually loads now. It’s also completely different than playing on my laptop where it was running in Medium, which is still a good looking game, but damn in Ultra it’s a whole different beast. I’m probably going to play this the rest of the day.
NCAA Football Revamped (NCAA Football 14) - PS3 Emulator (PC): I finished my forth season, first with SDSU (I spent the first two seasons with UTEP, and one with Tennessee before taking the SDSU job) where the Aztecs went 11-1 in conference, losing to Arizona, and then beating Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. In my game the Aztecs are in the PAC12 with USC and UCLA in the B1G, I moved Stanford and Cal to the ACC, and in the ACC I created a kind of IVY League with Duke, UNC, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Rice, and a couple of other schools. I added ACC schools Syracuse, Boston College, Virginia Tech, and I believe NC State to the PAC. Conference Realignment doesn’t make sense in real life so I brought that chaos to the video game. Currently the Aztecs are 9th in the country after week 5.
Philippine Basketball Association Basketball Slam - Steam: I bought this game years ago and it said it was going to update the game adding a season mode…it still hasn’t. So this game is basically the NBA Jam of the Philippines. I changed the commentary to Filipino and played a “quick” game. The only fun about it is the random sayings. One of the lines was something like *Filipino dialogue* SATISFACTION GUARANTEED *More Filipino dialogue*. I was waiting for the Boomshakalaka, but it never happened. Also just like in NBA Jam, once you have a huge lead, the computer becomes The 92 Dream Team, and you turn into Angola.
There hasn’t been any mobile gaming because I haven’t been outside in a couple of days other than to take the trash out to the curb and for a trip to Dutch Bros. I’m debating on buying the college version of Retro Bowl for a buck. I uninstalled Asphalt 9 because it’s no longer a priority to log in, and I have better things to do like finish the books I’ve been reading.
Randoms
A couple of weeks ago I bought an 8TB drive for my games. In fact I’ve bought an 8TB drive for my MP3s/AAC files, and another 8TB drive for my FLAC files. The small drives I have did their job but since I need more space and have a desktop I went with those drives. Anyways for the game drive I migrated my Steam library to it which is really easy, unlike the other platforms. For my stacked of 4-5TB small drives I’m going to use them again when I get a laptop. I’ll have slimmed down libraries for when I travel.
Alright Pixlpeeps I am off. Have a good week and I will talk to you all soon!
That’s all for now, more later!
