Sorry I've been AWOL. Getting back in the swing of things working full time at the park and not part time at the pet store is always a bit exhausting. Anyway, I'm back. This is going to be a short update, because I'm tired and I need to get up early.
Playing: Mostly bouncing back and forth between a couple of cozy sims. I've been playing Cozy Grove off and on since last summer. I took a break, because one of the quests required a certain set of clothing items in certain colors, and I spent two months waiting for the last item to show up in the shop, and it never did, and I was stuck and unable to advance in the game until I found it. I've transcended all of the bears at this point, and now I'm just trying to discover all of the items in all of the collections. The other game is Sunseed Island, a new game that came out last week or maybe the week before. I'm planning on writing a review of it, so I'm not going to say much here.
Watching: Nothing very interesting.
Reading: I've been reading a lot more lately. Since my last update, I've read three books and a short story. Sabriel by Garth Nix is the first book in a YA fantasy series. It was pretty good. Hounded by Kevin Hearne is an urban fantasy novel where the main character is a 2,000 year old Irish Druid. It was ok, The Rivers of London and The Dresden Files are, in my opinion, better reads. It's the first book of a series and I'm on the fence about whether I want to read the rest. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great, either. The third book was The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet by Becky Chambers. I highly recommend that one. Again, the first book in a series, but from what the friend who recommended it to me said, all the books take place in the same universe, but each has a different cast of characters. And the short story was called Compulsory, and is part of The Murderbot Diaries.
INCREDIBLY EXCITING NEWS: I'm getting a Switch 2!!! My nephew preordered one from two different retailers, hedging his bets. He had a friend lined up to buy the extra, but that fell through yesterday, so he offered it to me. He'll deliver it to me in person the week after he gets it. It's the Mario Kart World bundle.
Nighty-night, fellow Pixlbit ghosts. Until next time.
