I hope you’re hungry, because I’ve got a feast of game reviews I’ve recently written over at GamerDad.com for you all to chow down on!  Please read as many as you can and maybe post a ‘like’ or comment or two.  I’d appreciate it.  After reading all these reviews, you should all have nice fat little bellies!  OK let’s begin!

Pac-Man Ramen

To promote a new Pac-Man game, Bandai Namco has teamed up with Maruchan Instant Ramen to make special packaging for their chicken flavor for a limited time.  You know how I like Pac-Man, so even though I don’t like ramen, I had to check this out!

Pac-Man World 2 and the Act of Kindness

OK I know I’ve already posted this blog here at PixlBit, but the GamerDad version of this article has pictures.  So if you’d like to see those, click on the review.  Sorry, I was just too lazy to post the pictures here earlier.

Reader Review: Goosebumps: Terror in Little Creek (PC)

I was too old to get into R.L.Stine’s Goosebumps series when they first came out.  I was like in high school or college by that time.  And my little brothers were too young!  So I don’t really have a lot of familiarity with this series.  In fact, the only thing I remember about Goosebumps is that when my brother Jeff was little bitty and first started swimming lessons, one of the things he needed for the class was a beach towel.  So we let him pick out whatever one he wanted at the store.  And he chose a Goosebumps one, for whatever reason. But he thought he was SO COOL with that towel!  Anyway, when a review code for a new Goosebumps game recently dropped in my lap, I thought it would be only fitting to have my brother Jeff review it!  So here is his take on Goosebumps: Terror in Little Creek.

Windswept (Switch)

A duck is swept away from its nest by a tornado and then meets a turtle and together they go on a 2D platformer adventure that is heavily inspired by 16-bit classics. ESPECIALLY the Donkey Kong Country series.

Super Mining Mechs (PS4)

Earth’s resources have been nearly depleted in the future, so now you must go and deplete other planets’ resources in Super Mining Mechs.  It’s kind of a sequel/updated version of a game I reviewed about a year ago.  Use a robot drill to search for treasure underground in 2D space.  It kind of reminds me of Steamworld Dig mixed with a bit of Terraria and Dig Dug.

Kotenok (Switch)

Help a little kitten bypass obstacles in this 2D precision platformer (Kotenok is Russian for kitten, by the way).

RedEx (PS4)

Shoot wave after wave of bad guys in 2D retro style arenas in Redex.

And that’s all for now!  Thanks for reading my reviews and posting ‘likes’ and comments on them.  I do appreciate it.  OK you all should have nice fat bellies now!  Happy Thanksgiving!  Later!  --Cary

You must have quite a collection of Pac-Man memorabilia by now.

I love the Gashapon toys tie-in with Pac-Man World 2. Very cool. I just watched a youtube video on Pac-Man pop-up arcades (I think one was at Macy's in NYC) related to a Pac-Man anniversary recently. Also, In the Namco Atari 50 DLC they mentioned a big Pac-Man event for the 2600 release at my local Mall in King of Prussia back in 1982. I wondered if I went to it back then or not. I just don't remember, but I was at that mall playing in their arcades back then most weekends.

Super Mining Mechs sounds neat.

I have so much Pac-Man stuff I could probably open up my own Namco Museum!

I think that pop up arcade/store in Macy was to celebrate Pac-Man's 45th Anniversary, plus the fact that Pac-Man is getting a balloon in this year's Macy's parade, along with Mario.  I hope I can watch the parade on TV this year so I can see them!

Yeah if you like Minecraft and Terraria, I bet you'd like Super Mining Mechs.

You should do a youtube tour of your collection. I'd like to see all of it.

Oh cool. I'll have to watch the parade for that too.

Minecraft yes, but I had trouble getting into Terraria very far.

Well, since in the past couple of years I've been forced into living in a small one bedroom apartment, a lot of my Pac-Man collection is in storage.  Plus I'd have to learn how to make YouTube videos. :)

My video game collection takes up half my room right now. It's partly why I want to go through everything and cut it down to the essentials.

Most of my video game collection is in storage, too.  I just have a box with my Switch and Switch 2 games in it, and a small stack of PS4 games.

I just saw a an ad for the American Red Cross featuring Pac-Man, offering a free pair of Pac-Man socks if you donate blood.

I saw that ad, too.  I don't know the time frame for it but since I can't drive because of my disability, it'll be hard for me to get to that.  I'll probably have to pass that one up.
