I could totally see that happening. Nintendo doesn't have much friends.
Ubisoft Responds to Fan Reactions of Rayman Legends Wii U Version Delay

One of the bigger news stories this week was Ubisoft's announcement that Rayman Legends was going to be released as a multiplatform title. Rayman Legends was slated to be released on the Wii U in late February, but Ubisoft has delayed the game's launch until September, so it will coincide with the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.
Fan outcry was immediate. With the Wii U version of the game due in weeks, fans had played the Wii U demo of the game and found a quality 2D platformer they enjoyed and anticipated. Rayman Legends was the first retail title for the Wii U that was shown to the public, and was slated to be a launch title. Eager fans were able to push through the initial delays into 2013, and many believed the game was near. Many now feel that Ubisoft has pulled the rug out from underneath of them. Some are even upset that Ubisoft has teased them a little too much, what with the demo that was made available in December. Developers of the Rayman title are also apparently upset with corporate Ubisoft, as they worked extended hours and missed quality family time over the holiday season to make a release date that is now meaningless.
There is good news, though. The cries of fans and employees have been ignored. Ubisoft believes they've come up with a method to undo the delay of the Wii U version of the highly awaited Rayman title. Sallie Nafekeam, a spokesperson for Ubisoft released this statement earlier today.
We understand that fans are frustrated by our the delay of our formerly exclusive Wii U title. We at Ubisoft have interesting news for Nintendo fans who enjoy Ubisoft's Rayman franchise. It is clear that these gamers and journalists will not be satisfied until Rayman Legends for the Nintendo Wii U makes its formerly scheduled release. Ubisoft has taken fans' opinions and recommendations into consideration, and while it just isn't viable for us to release Rayman Origins on the Wii U in February 2013 at this point in time, we feel we can do the next best thing. In an effort to undo Ubisoft and Rayman fan's displeasure with the delay of the Wii U version of Rayman Legends, Ubisoft is proud to announce that the Wii U version of Rayman Legends has now been cancelled. We feel this is the best way to address our previously unsettled fans, and we'd like to express our sincerest apologies to those who were affected negatively by our decision to delay Rayman Legends for the Wii U. We hope that by cancelling Rayman Legends, those who were upset will instead find themselves anticipating the brand new Rayman adventure announced earlier this week, Rayman Legends, which will be available on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this September.
