Good day every one. Who is ready for some PUNK?

The STREET SMITH BAND ( Australia ) Folk Punk.

The Boys are back in town! Going by FLAG now, the former members of Black Flag have gotten back together. Their first digital single is ( MY WAR ). Here they are playing Revenge and Fix Me.

 

Druglords Of The Avenues ( Oakland, CA. ) This off of their 2009 album Sing Songs.

They do have a new release out for 2013 ( NEW DRUGS ).

 

Captain, We're Sinking ( Scranton, PA. ) Skate Punk. This track is off of their new album ( The Future Is Cancelled ).

 

PERFECT FUTURE ( Frostburg, MD / Annandale, VA ) Must Come to an End" is off of their LP "Old Wounds: Warmth in the Winter of 1914-1915"

 

Worship This! ( Cleveland / Akron, OH ) This is " Summit Tower" off of there album "Tomorrow, I'll Miss You" The sound is not that great on the video, so please checkout their stuff.

oh man I went to bed at four and woke up at seven.  Not ready for punk.  Sealed  never heard Australian punk before.  Or have I?

Folk Punk?!!! How freaking awesome! Love that one. And the news about Flag is good,as Black Flag were a huge band for me growing up. My friends never quite got that about me. Captain We're Sinking was one I dug because skate punk has such a cool vibe. Liked the lyrics to Summit Tower a lot. Great picks today...thanks!

I know right. I was checking them out on Punknews. I did a little research and they are listed as Folk Punk, I guess that is kinda like the Punk in Ireland. That is my best guess.

Sigourney Weaver goes great with a cloudy/rainy day like today where I am. Loving the genre name, too, can't go wrong with Australian folk punk. The "Summer Tower" video reminds me of when we used to watch our friends play who were in bands in Deep Ellum. And Black Flag was great when it got started.

I came in here looking for Metal Monday and then realized it is indeed Tuesday. We in the Great White North had the day off yesterday for Victoria Day and it has fucked up my whole week. Anyway I shall listen through my new AKG headphones wot I got for mi birfday which is the same day as Queen Victoria's (May 24th). Now I shall leave you to ponder why we celebrate Vicky and me's day of birth a week before it actually happens. Canadians is the cwaziest peoples.
