Just some quotes from Neogaf regarding the XBOXONE  reveal...

" this is why ueda-sama left sony, so that he can follow his dream of expanding minds while The Artform of Games collapsed behind him "

" It had a good run. No one can say it didn't. "

" Save us Sega "

" Gaming died, but our tv overlay, fantasy football, price is right, peeping Tom over lord was born. "

" I just poured 3 out for gaming, love ya buddy ;_; "

" RIP video games. I'll never play with you ever again. "

" the Price is Right lives on "

I don't understand The Price is Right references. Because it focused on TV so heavily? Or did Bob Barker's pets need to be connected to the internet every twenty-four hours if they wanted to mate? Both sound plausible to me.

The Price is Right is the show that would come on when they commanded the One to switch to TV during the presentation.

All during the live event I was wondering if those quick transitions between gaming, TV, movies, and the internet will actually work on a normal internet connection. I keep thinking you're going to need some serious speed to do all that.

I don't exactly see how Xbox One's poor showing has signaled the death of gaming, but yeah, Microsoft seems to be on the path to destroy all the good will it gained over the previous Xboxes.

Well the Neogaf comments were made to be humorous. It's pretty obvious that Microsoft is moving away from the gaming competition and focusing on the war for your living room. All-in-one Entertainment box type of thing.

I wouldn't say gaming is dead, for gaming will continue. I just don't think the life of the Xbox consoles will go on after this next gen

Well they aren't even supporting 360 games, so that's a huge library. If 360 games aren't supported for the next 2 gens, then it's like killing the 360?

And here I was thinking that gaming died when sega stopped making consoles.

Gaming is not dead. I think it is time for Indies to get on board with systems like the Ouya.

Look at the bright side. Now with the reveal, Microsoft made want to get a Wii U lol.

I wouldn't say gaming is dead. Even with the current console panorama, the Indie scene is growing and PC gaming is getting more popular.

Already own a WiiU because I heard rumors about XBOX ONE ahead of time.

I definitely got a few chuckles out of that thread.  That said, Microsoft is making it easier for me to return to my legacy consoles.  At least I'll be able to own those games.
