If i had to buy a console based off of the reveals, I would definitely get a ps4. Sony gives off the impression that they are making a gaming console, with other features. Microsoft seems to be building an entertainment centre that just so happens to play games.
Thoughts on Xbox One & finally, a game for custodians

I'm not convinced that the internet infrastructure in North America is strong or wide enough to support the online requirements of Xbox One (by association, I'm hoping Sony isn't dependent on that, either). I'm convinced, however, just by the presentation of yesterday that Microsoft is no longer interested in marketing to me. As much as some/most of us had the idea of an "all-in-one" box, this appeared to be their plan all along and so much is riding on this; if it sinks, they're fucked in the console business. Microsoft isn't under any obligation to sell something that's accessible or affordable but it isn't a smart business decision and the sense of hubris on their part is still noticeable.
I don't play EA sports games and I abandoned the COD series after Modern Warfare 2, so the games announcements did nothing for me. I love the Halo game series but I never ventured into books, comics, anime or web series so I can't say a tv series can change that (with or without Spielberg's name attached). I can operate my cable box just fine and pushing the HDMI button to switch between that and a console isn't a chore. Barking orders at my tv is as appealing to interacting with an automated voice system over the phone so why would I want that?
I'm all for advancements in technology, even if its for recreation but every once in a while technology just gives us shit that we don't need or didn't ask for. True, we haven't heard everything yet: all of the launch games, pricing, release date, etc. But enough has been released to convince me that I'm just not part of their intended demographic, whether I can afford it or not. Because of that, I can say that I have no interest. I'll continue to play my 360 for as long as MS supports it and as long as I can continue to find games for it. But I fear they've killed my interest in upgrading.
In more upbeat news, PSN released Men's Room Mayhem for the Vita and as a full-time custodian, this makes me laugh. Finally! A game for me!
Completely crazy. You're guiding these bladder-infected guys to the stalls (and toilets) and to the sinks and keeping them from coming into contact with each other (if you do, they fight and leave a big blood stain on the floor; you also lose points). You get points for helping them do their business, wash their hands and exit the room without incident. At the end of each round, you use the touchscreen to wipe down the urinals, sinks and toilets within a certain time. If a fight happens, there'll be bloodstains to clean up. Certain guys have a timer attached to them; if you don't get them to a urinal in time, they'll piss themselves and there'll be a urine stain to clean.
The more people come in, the more chaotic it becomes. The whole experience left a smile on my face. If you have Plus, it's only 97 cents.
