Yeah Psychonauts is hilarious and an overall great game to boot. So is RE: Revelations and it looks pretty damn good even on the 3DS.

I went to the Doctor's yesterday, and it turns out I have a respiratory infection. Yay. So I'm on roughly $66 worth of inhalers, antibiotics and steroids. Which confused me. The doctor didn't tell me she was giving me steroids! Or maybe she did. I wasn't really coherent during that visit. She told me I shouldn't use my brain too much and that I should rest. This confused me greatly, seeing how I HAVE A FUCKING RESPIRATORY ILLNESS, NOT A BRAIN TUMOR! Anyway, I didn't question this at the time, but I did ask if video games were considered too taxing. She looked at me oddly with a weird sort of grin, and sort of laughed and said: That should be ok, you don't really have to think when you play games. I almost punched her. Fighting my temptation to immitate commander shepherd and PUNCH WOMEN IN THE FACE, I kept my mouth shit. She kept talking, and eventually she mutated into some weird, demonic form and tried to eat me. Ok, maybe I was a little out of it at that stage.
Anyway, this is all happening during the end of my semester, when I have two assignments due, and then exams - all within quite a short amount of time. Suffice to say it isn't the best time to be dying. However, Plus10Damage are gracious enough to let me have a break... well sort of. I just put out content when I can manage it at the moment. My MMOnthly should still be up on June 1st, and I'll be reviewing Defiance. If you guys have any preferences towards f2p MMO's that I can play next, let me know. Next week it might be either Age of Wushu, or Ragnarok Online 2, as I am actually trying to stay current. I am having troubles with the servers though, so I might jump into Secret World, or maybe even Second Life as a back up. Again, any preferences would be taken into consideration.
Since I'm on break though, I'll probably blog here a bit more, as less thought generally goes into these, and it's essentially just me rambling. So you lovely individuals will have to put up with me. Horrible I know. I need to blog more on here though, so this is a good oppurtunity I guess.
Ok, so enough about my life. This is a gaming forum! What have I been playing?
Resident Evil: Revelations
This game is finally on PC, and it is wonderous. You can barely tell this was a game on the 3DS, because it looks absolutely gorgeous. I started it up, and the first thing I noticed was the atmosphere - the game is dripping with it! It reminds me a lot of Code Veronica in terms of atmosphere. I don't quite know why though. The second thing you notice is the dialogue. It's awesome, in that terribly Resident Evil manner. At one stage you walk up to an elevator that's cables have snapped and looks like Princess Diana's car, and Jill tries to operate it! She then stares vacantly at it and says "I guess it's out of order." That is comedy gold right there.
When I finally got to the enemies, I was surprised. You can hold a maximum of 40 bullets as Jill, and you soak through them pretty fast, because even a single enemy is a serious threat. There's a moment where you have all of your guns taken away from you, and you have to dodge and bypass your enemies, and I tell you what, it was actually scary. I was tensing up, I was praying that I'd make it. This is resident evil. It almost makes up for resident evil 5 and 6.
PsychoNauts
This game is terrible. The worst, most unimaginative pile of shit I've ever played. I hope whoever made this game goes bankrupt and - Just kidding, this game is amazing. I love it! It's so original! This is the first time I've ever played it, and it evokes memories of games like Banjo Kazooie, and other 3D platformers that we just don't get anymore! Add to that the fact that the game still looks good on pc thanks to the art style, and you have a game you must play NOW!
I picked it up in the double fine bundle, and it was one of the only games in the package I hadn't played! I have no idea why I didn't play it either, as this game is funny as hell! Seriously, if you haven't played it, go in fresh. Don't have ANYTHING spoiled. If you have played this game, you know exactly what I'm talking about.
I've been playing other games too, but I can't really be bothered talking about them, as I am getting a headache writing this up. Anyway, I hope everyone else is fine, and have a great day/night/afternoon/breakfast. I'm about to make breakfast. By the way, it's 7:11 am here. Bye!
