Sony promoted the ability to play PS3 games on your Vita via remote play pretty heavily before its North American release last Feb, 2012. Triple A titles such as Killzone 3 were promised to be playable on your Vita via remote play. However, over one year after Vita's launch, only a handful of titles (Killzone 3 not being one of them) are operable using remote play. Such remote play experiences are highly laggy along with major graphical and resolution decay. I have one of these PS3 remote play titles. Watch here to find out what it is and to also get my thoughts and feelings about Sony's missed opportunity. Will Sony, who is promising such Vita remote play capabilities for the upcoming PS4, renege once again? ~Kuts~

Yeah, that's a cool feature to think about, but in practice ... yeah, it's gonna be limited, sadly. Every time something sounds that awesome, it's usually not as awesome.
I do like the idea of a Lair playthrough though. Looked so great and I was disappointed to see reviews it got. Never played it, but I thought the premise was cool.

I doesn't seem practical, unless the Vita itself is a mirror hardware image of the console, or has serious horsepower to emulate already data heavy games.
