Sonic: Lost Worlds Trailer and Opinions

Super Sonic Galaxy!

Earlier today, Sega (and IGN) showed the first trailer of the Nintendo/Sega colaboration known as Sonic: Lost Worlds, and well it looks pretty cool, see for yourself:

Pretty cool huh? Here are my thoughts, it looks like it's taking a cue from the Mario Galaxy titles, and you know those games were pretty much the best platforming games this gen. It also looks like a sequel/spiritual successor to Sonic Colors. If you look closely, you can see the Laser Wisp from Colors.

Also, what some (well younger people) might not know is that this can actually be Sonic Xtreme, an unreleased Sonic game for the Saturn. If you look it up on google or youtube, you'll notice that it is basically the same game Lost Worlds is. It could be Xtreme, or it could be a nod to the game. Either way, it looks colorful and vibrant.

While I wont get it, my brother will so I'll be playing it either way. So what are your thoughts on the game? Any opinions on it? Thanks for reading and later.

I love Sonic but I haven't played any of the recent 3D games, not generations or colors or anything. I don't know, I just can't get the willpower to do so.

Man this looks awesome! I was interested untill I noticed that little "exclusively for Nintendo consoles." lol. Damn. I don't have a Wii U or 3DS and probably won't get one. I certainly got a Mario Galaxy vibe from it though.

I'm not a Sonic fan, but I am always willing to try a new Sonic game because there are SOME that I like.

I'll rent this. I haven't even liked the good 3D Sonics this gen, last Sonic I really enjoyed was Rush. I'll still give it a try in hope that it brings some of that Genesis magic, but not holding my breath for a return to form. They gave me CD at least and that's all I wanted.

I am genuinly excited to play this after seeing that trailer. I was hoping for a Sonic vs Mario Kart type game, but this will do for now.

This actually looks great! I don't know how I feel about the look of the "new villains" but I love how Sonic can navigate the shifting environments. How can I put it? He seems "fast"again!
