Moving...moving...MOVED!

I haven't been around here on PixlBit much in the last two weeks or so. My wife and I moved over the weekend and had been packing everything up before that. Busy busy busy. Work has also been very demanding lately, so my plate's been pretty full. On top of that we had to wait two extra days to get our internet up and running because Verizon lost our initial order. So, as you can imagine, I haven't had time to play any games during all of this, other than a few on my iPhone. I got sucked into one called Dungelot that's basically a casual roguelike. Each floor of the dungeon is a 5x6 grid of tiles and you tap to uncover them, revealing...sometimes nothing but more than not you'll find a monster or a power up or treasure. One of the monsters holds the key to the next floor and you can move on as soon as you find it, though the reward for clearing the floor is often worth the trouble. It's game over when you die but you do keep the money you found and it can be used to buy permanent upgrades for your character, making it easier to get a little farther the next time. There are quite a few more wrinkles to keep things interesting, including different playable characters to unlock, like a vampire and a dwarf (you start as a paladin). I've enjoyed it a lot overall and it's great for playing in little bursts of a few minutes, which is about all I've had recently.

Anyway, just wanted to let you all know that I'm not dead or anything. Sorry if I haven't responded to you or commented on any blogs. My message box is sitting at 113 right now, so it might take me a little while to get caught up but I'll do my best. And I'll try to get this week's OCR Spotlight up tomorrow. I managed to not miss posting those during all this so I'd hate to miss one now. Back to work!

I enjoyed dungelot until I maxed out the character that I was using.

I hate moving, but find myself moving this week. Hoping that the new place will be a more long-term location, I really do not want for a third time in 2 years.

We have moved three times in the last two years lol. Hoping to be here at least two years though. Whenever we have to do this again will be too soon. Good luck with yours. Man, it sure is a pain.

The place that we are moving is almost exactly what we have been looking for, and since my brother has been living there for 5-6 years, I think that it will be okay for a couple of years. We probably would have stayed where we currently are for another year if the other tennant was so... ... ... awful.

We haven't had any bad neighbors, thankfully, we just keep outgrowing where we are lol. But this place should do us for at least two years.

Welcome back! I'm glad the move went well. I know how much of a pain that can be since I've moved countless times in the past. At least you didn't have to wait a whole month for the internet like I did lol.

My wife would go crazy if we were without internet for so long lol. Moving sucks. But this place is really nice and fits our needs perfectly, so now all we have to do is finish unpacking...

We helped my older brother move a month ago or so. Not terrible, but it does take a while. Hope you like the new place!

The new place is great. We're still just swimming in boxes lol. I'm always shocked at how much stuff we have once we have to box it up!

I've moved so many times I actually enjoy it now. Especially if it's to a city that is new to me. Glad you will be back around now. Glad your move went smoothly,too. That game sounds like one I'd enjoy now that I have an iPhone. Should check it out this weekend.

I can't imagine enjoying moving lol. You should check out Dungelot. It's a lot of fun. I've been dabbling in a lot of iPhone games recently, so hopefully I can blog about some of those too.

I hope so! We have a surprising amount of unpacking still to do I can't wait till we're able to actually get back to playing some games lol
