In other Dark Souls news, there has been some leaked Concept Art. Take a look and let me know what you think down below!

2014? So much for "end of this year." Anyway, I have high hopes for this game... although they're going more straight up open world, which I'm not quite sure will work with this series. Both Demon's Souls and Dark Souls were more metroidvania than elders scrolls-ish...

Everything I was reading before was saying December 31st, 2013. I'm kind of bummed that it was pushed back 3 months, but I'd rather them take their time on this as opposed to trying to rush it out as quickly as possible. It shows me that their more about the game itself than the quick cash-in like some companies.

Some of that concept art looks pretty bad ass. I bet your excited about Dark Souls 2. I know my brother will be buying it. Are you gonna do a death log series again? I loved those things. So hilarious. Well, I guess I shouldn't laugh at your deaths lol, but the pictures your wife drew were awesome! Cool

You bet your ass I'm excited! I will definitely be buying a new Console for this game if it's exclusively on next-gen! I can't wait!

And I may do another Death-Log. But...
Now that I'm capable of capturing my journey via PC, I may instead look into capturing it and leave the hilarity to the commentary.. My vocabulary was colorful to say the least whenever I first played through Dark Souls lol

That appears to be on the convention center in downtown LA where E3 is held. See below for a picture we took at E3 2010 of what appears to be the same or a similar spot.

In any event, excited to hear it's a big ticket item for Namco Bandai, but sad to see that we won't be playing it until next year. This pretty much clears me for my Demon's Souls playthrough I've been planning since I know I won't get to burnt out on the series by marathoning through all of them in one year!

Wow, nice point-out Nick! I never considered it being a billboard at E3!

And I think I would rather them take their time and make another master-piece as opposed to them rushing the game for a quick buck. It shows me that their more concerned about the game itself and not the profit.

And good luck with Demon's Souls! If you need a guide, let me know. I'm always more than willing to point you in the right direction and help you get through it!

No doubt, I'd definitely rather they take their time with it than rush it out the door. Though I'm bummed that I won't be at E3 this year to give the game a go on the show floor. Oh well.

Demon's Souls should be a fun voyage, I made my way past Phalanx in about an hour and a half when I started it a few months back, so I was pretty happy with that. Dark Souls certainly prepared me well and after the last fight of that game, I feel like a master of the parry.

You'll find the parrying tactic is incredible useful against the Blue-Eye/Red-Eye knights in Demon's Souls! Without the parry, they're kind of tough to back-stab. You'll enjoy Demon's Souls though! The Item Burdon is kind of a bitch, but it's still manageable!

I love art from video games, I like seeing the designs and all that. Im glad a lot of games include the art even if you have to unlock it. Im kind of not shocked they did it by billboard. I remember when Resistance 3 was still unannounced and uncertain and they announced it pretty much by billboard. It didnt get an official announcement till August but the billboard gave it away plenty. I still have yet to buy Dark Souls but I have finally gotten caught up on your videos and there just wanting to make me buy it more. Nice job on the vids by the way!

Oh man, I just love that gothic horror vibe of the Souls games. I can't wait.

I know! I'm really excited to see how much of the concept art makes it into the game. I'm hoping I'll be able to explore that dangling ship somehow!

Holy crap look at those dragons. They appear to be crawling on all fours, well actually the one doesn't seem to have back legs so I don't know what that makes it. But if those two beasts in panel 10 down are actually dragons, shit they're big and what do you think that could mean for the lore of the game if these concepts actually become used in-game at some point during the creation of this?

Real dragons, back in action in all their power and fury when they were suppose to all be killed by the Lords? Maybe they'd be descendants of the ancient dragons, just like how the surviving Everlasting Dragon down in Ash Lake is one of the descendants of the ancient ones. Sounds like crazy shenanigans that could totally turn Lordran, Balder, Carim and all the other lands into a crazy apocalyptic battleground that nobody has seen in the Dark Souls world since, well probably since the war of the dragons I guess!

It's more of a comical note but I like how there's at least two different pictures that show a boat stuck between a rock and a hard place. One boat is on top of snowy mountain and the other boat is stuck between two huge rocks hugging onto its sides. From Software artists obviously have an urge to show some boats in precarious situations.

Just by looking at them, I'm going to say they're dragons. Where they came from, I have no clue. BUT.... There is always the Everlasting Dragon. Perhaps the Dragons were asexual and able to conceive without a partner?

And those ships really interest me as well! I hope we get to explore them!

I think they're a great addition because there's no oceans or sail-able areas in the first Dark Souls. Seeing how DS2 is taking place in Lordran again, I'm excited to see how the ships came to be!

AND!
I'm working through your email, slowly but surely. lol

Well, I say let them take all the time they need. I still have to get through Demon's, not to mention starting on Dark. heh heh An open-ended world could work, especially if it's on next gen systems. Speculation: the entire game will take place in a twisted version of Ocarina of Time! Okay, maybe not, but I can dream, dammit. lol

I love your speculation!

Not too much of a shock. Resistance 3 did the same thing but I think it was visible in a movie scene. Don't recall which though.
