Good to read this. I see Rage @walmart new for $20. I might just pick it up.

Rage one of the most underated disappointments areference a obvious question and the reasons really not as big as you might expect. Rage is developed by ID Software and is published by Bethesda and is a first person shooter, and let me just say this is a good game.
So Rage is a great game with a cool time period remenence of Borderlands and Fallout universe the problem with this game was the fact it was expected to be a Fallout type game but come on guys and gals this is the same guys that brought us Doom and Quake to be honest the games exactly what i expected except i do wish it wasnt so linear and short. So the story goes the astroid 99942 Apophis impacts earth on August 23, 2029 leaving few humans surviving and the few left came together to form a settlement call Oasis conveintly atop a water source and this is where you start the game, they have your typical quest and all but they also have a quest board to get them at to and your first order of buissness will be to get yourself a buggy a kind of off road car that you will be using alot.
So the graphics are excellent and look wonderful the games guns and grenades etc are easy to access and a blast to use, reliading is as simple as a buttin push, the gameplay primarily consist of first person shooting and driving segments with you using the vehicle to explore the world and travel between missions. Combat is undertaken from a first person veiw, you are armed with upgradable firearms as well as crossbows abd a boomerrang type weapon called a wingstick which can be used as stealth attacks.
And thats not all, There are a veriety of vehicular events for you to participate in including race and checkpoint rallies racing events may or may not have opponents, you can upgrade your car by completing events. Rage also has rpg elements including a inventory system, looting system and different types of ammo etc, and by finding scrap items throughout the world you can build some very interesting things, so as you can see this is more then your typical fps game.
So the graphics are georgous and look simply amazing and the music sounds apropriate for a post apocalyptic time and the voice acting is done very well and with a good cast of actors, and the controls are right on for an fps,and for me other then it being very linear and short i would most definitely recommend it and for under $10 at Gamestop its a must buy for anyone who likes fps or rpgs.
