Sounds like a good time. Funny you mention bosses, as they are usually my favorite part of a lot of games, like the Zelda series, but it's been a while since I've played much of anything, so maybe that's changed.
Good review. Wish I owned a Vita.

So after a full week of dedicating my every gaming moment to it, I finished Gravity Rush on Friday night. One word I would use to describe GR is solid. Gameplay feels tight with combat being genuinely interesting and the whole concept of the game feels fresh and new. You play as Kat, a gravity shifter who is able to alter gravity for her purposes. By changing gravity, you are able to traverse with ease around the environment which allows for some very interesting exploration. Combat is fast paced with you darting at opponents and quickly flying away to avoid their attacks.
Gravity Rush has a great flow to it and before I knew it I was well versed in the gravity mechanics and able to go one and one with all manner of enemies. It tells me a lot about what I think of a game when I enjoy the boss battles. In recent memory, I can only think of two games in which I genuinely looked forward to the bosses: Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. Both these games had well varied and interesting bosses that really added another aspect to the gameplay. For me, Gravity Rush also has this element. While I wouldn’t say the game is difficult, it definitely is challenging and I did receive a sense of accomplishment as I progressed through the twenty chapters of the game.
That's a big boy...
One small aspect that stops this being a perfect game for me is I found it difficult to use some of the abilities. While still fun, I found myself sticking to the same formula throughout all my battles as I was not able to get some new techniques to work. I won’t be too harsh on the game for this however as I feel in all honesty that I’m the blame here. If I ever decide to replay this to find the secret bosses, etc. I’ll try harder to nail the additional techniques which I’m sure would add to the already great combat.
Overall, I whole heartedly recommend Gravity Rush to anyone with a Vita. As I mentioned last week, I got this as a part of the PS+ instant game collection and thoroughly enjoyed my 10+ hour experience. I look forward to the sequel.

I already have this game thanks to PS+ but I don't see myself getting a Vita in the near future, especially with new consoles coming out this year (my wife wants a PS4 for Christmas lol). But as things stand at the moment, Gravity Rush would be the first game I'd want to play if I did get a Vita.
My hope it that in a year or so uptake on the Vita will have grown with PS4 cross play features. I just want some games on it. JRPG's preferably but some options would be nice. This year looks pretty skimpy on new releases but i'll hold out hope for a better 2014. Kinda wish I chose the 3DS instead with the amount of releases that's seeing. The really annoying thing though is that the console itself is awesome
