Not to mention the cost of buying a game. How much will the games cost? Stil $60?
500 + 60 + Live = 560+ ? Dear Lord it's the PS3 Fat all over again.
$500? Not quite.

The Xbox One costs $500 to buy at launch in the US. Of course, that's if you want to buy the box. Don't forget about that Xbox Live Gold subscription for whenever you want to actually play it.
I'll have a PB & Jason today, maybe even more than one, depending on how much I think we'll see from EA, Ubisoft, and Sony. However, I just wanted to stress that the Xbox One price tag obviously is going to be much more than $500 in the long run, and that's presuming that Xbox Live Gold will remain the same price. Sure, MS might provide a free game here or there, as presented in their press conference, but I'm pretty sure most people who wanted to play Assassin's Creed II or Halo 3 at this point probably already have, so it isn't like the value of said games are worth all that much.
The last thing I need to say is this: I want Microsoft to fail with the Xbox One. The policies outlined that focus on cloud computing, on game DRM, on requiring internet connections, on buying exclusives (rather than creating hardware that inspires exclusives,) they're just not good. I'm all for a real all-in-one television box, but the Xbox One, as discussed in previous PB & Jasons, fails at that. So yeah. At this price, at this level of restrictions, with these bad policies, I'll say it now: I'm openly against the Xbox One.
