This will be short, as I'm not much in the mood for gaming, blogging, or other pursuits right now. My dog Bandit is either really sick from a vaccine he got, or somehow in the 24 hours after he had his annual vet visit he managed to injure himself (without my knowing it) so badly that he can hardly walk. I'm really worried about him and too broke to seek a 2nd opinion right away. The initial vet visit cost me a week's pay and then some. So keep me and Bandit in your thoughts. Thanks, and I'll hopefully be back soon with some news.

Whatever has to happen, I feel for you, and just remember you're a great owner to take care of him, and he'll either get better, be in a better place, or get some rest from his sickness no matter what happens.

Much love to you and Bandit.

oh no!  I'm so sorry, Tami.  YOU'll be in my thoughts, I know how important dogs can be.  I hope he is okay.  Frown

Sorry about Bandit.  Same thing happened with my cat last year.  He got sick after vaccines (the rabies combo one).  He was sick for a week.  The vets gave him 2 different antibiotics (at no cost too).  He was fine after 7 days or so, but I was worried.

That's not good, I hope Bandit is feeling better soon Tami. Vaccines can have that effect for sure so here's hoping that he's just adjusting to it and all is ok!

Here's hoping he gets better soon. A weeks pay for a vet visit? Yikes! But I've been in a similar situation and you want to do everything you can for your pets. I spent $1600 to have one of our cats treated. They gave her 3 enemas and an ultrasound to try to fix a blockage. Then she wound up passing the blockage at home after we'd lost all hope of  her getting better. It was awful.

It was for both the dog and cat, and the bulk of it was for heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative.

If we don't look after them, who will? :)

We've been through this with our pets before. Both cats and dogs. I've even done my own x-rays on them trying to figure out if there was something wrong internally that would show up. It's tough because they are like our kids. Hope that Bandit is doing better now. I'll keep you both in my thoughts.
