I've already settled in, and hole hell is this a fancy hotel. I'm wondering, since this place feels so much neater and easier and looks prettier in a way than 1up, if that's partly why 1up's closing.

I mean no offense, 1up had great articles and obviously community, but be honest, their layout was kinda shit, and the vast superiority in this site, which I don't even think is corporately owned and is way the hell faster than 1up on my PC, proves it.

That said, I will still update my 500th blog over there with comments as I continue to archive the rest.

... And actually, here's one thing 1up has on Pixlbit: I can't seem to post videos in comments. After all my critiques! haha

I think it was your blog that I commented on that 1up was working on a new layout. Obviously, IGN must have cut that at some point. It's not like they were pumping a whole lot of money into 1up.

There's definitly some things that are better and some things that are not. Either way, I was pretty impressed to see that suggestions I casually mentioned in this blog appeared on a front page article hours later!

Double clicking a comment will allow you to edit it. Also I can go ahead and enable the ability to embed videos and images in comments. Check back shortly and I'll have the feature rolled out.

Welcome to Pixlbit,  I know this will be the place I stay. I like it here. I hope you decide you'll make this your main blog site.

It certainly seems like this will be my main blog. Things have just been snowballing every day since the announcement. Day one it was "What now?" The next day it was blogspot, then facebook. And now pixlbit!

I came here with the flood of 1 uppers, and I agree with you its a whole lot more user freindly with posting pics, blogs etc and glad to see all our fellow one uppers coming here its just feels like an upgraded 1 up but better, anyway glad your here and looking forward to your blogs.

hey buddy! welcome to our new home! this place seems pretty awesome, but I do have one complaint: the site does not inform you of new blogs written by your friends or victims of your stalking...

Yes, right now you just see every new blog that was posted. Obviously, if the site continues to explode it will be impossible to keep up with everyone's blogs. Of course, they are working on it, and it sounds like I won't have to wait months for it to be implemented like most other sites.

It's a young site, they'll add stuff. Nick implemented the follow system just for us and put it in place two nights ago. As in, it wasn't there when I joined Thursday night and then it appeared on Friday. Pretty awesome, really.

That is pretty awesome indeed. Like I said above, they are being alarmingly fast with the response to suggestions!

I want that cat picture amended to say, "It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feline."
