We all got a lot of the coverage so what is your favorites and disappointments of E3? Here is mine.

Disappointments

Nintendo- People might have loved what they shown but I am disappointed. Everyone had new IPs. Ubisoft and EA had some major new titles and surprising sequels. Nintendo? They shown what everyone already knew they had. They have Retro doing another Donkey Kong Country game. I wanted to see that talent do something new or bring back a old Nintendo IP.

Ryse, I was expecting big things from this. It looked cheap with all the quick time events. They showed an endless amount of them and the main character looks plain. He doesn't look unique or anything and doesn't sound empowering. I thought this was suppose to be a Kinect game and something for the hardcore? What happened?

Vita had nothing new. What else can be said about it?

Favorites

The PS4 costs 399.99! That is an impressive price after the PS3's steep launch price. Also the system doesn't have any built in DRM!

The presence of indie games at Sony's Conference. They have a lot and they have Transistor!

Microsoft really has a lot of exclusives. While they might have shown more of their hand than Sony has, they showed they have new IPs. Titanfall looks awesome and fun. Sunset Overdrive seems awesome.

I agree the One's exclusives are better. I do not care, because a) let's face it, "exclusivity" probably won't stay that way for long in most titles' cases, b) every other reason the entire internet has given about not buying a One.

As for Nintendo, I mostly agree, but as Epic Greenman reminded me with his blog, there actually is a new IP for Wii U called X, and I think it looks sweet.

I the end, I completely believe that Sony will have better and more exclusives. That is pretty much a given considering the last two console generations. Sony being the largest first party developer also helps. Microsoft is just shooting themselves in the foot and being ignorant about it at the same time.

Dissapointments
War Games
As for shooters, I really only play Battlefield 3 and looking forward to B4, but do we need so many shooters? No. The Order looks interesting, if it is a shooter but so many dark themed SciFi/War shooters? Why so many? Where are the platformers and whimsical action games?

Zombie Games
Rays the Dead, Dying Light, Walking Dead, Dead Rising 3, Ninja Gaiden Z, Plants vs Zombies Warfare, etc... I figure zombie genre was a trend from last gen but do we need more zombie games? No.  A trend that won't die.

No RPGs.
Sure we got some Final Fantasy, Witcher, maybe I missed one? Elder Scrolls? But where are all the weird JRPGs that we complained about missing last gen? The lack of JRPGs last gen was one of the reasons I waited to buy a PS3. You would think that maybe VITA would get some. No?

Nintendo
I missed out on the Wii generation of games so I'm not misssing out on getting HD versions of Nintendo franchises. I look forward to all the HD Editions of DK, Mario Kart, 3D Mario, Pikmin, Zelda, etc.  I would have liked to see FZERO, Metroid or Star Fox, but I suppose Nintendo needs to get more units out there first. I know there is a lack of "new" or innovation, but just look at the list of dissapointments and tell me next gen isn't a sequel to current gen.

Sony
The price is awesome. I was hoping PS4 would cost $1,000 so I wouldn't feel compelled to buy one, then it was $400, damn you Sony. No DRM is cool, now I can play in my nuclear submarine without worries. Indie games look so cool. VITA playability sounds nice.

Games
FF15, KH - confirmation that they exist, and KH in HD!
Super Smash Bros - finally mega man was added, and evil villager from animal crossing
Xenoblade HD - whatever it's called on wiiU, I want to play it
(XBO) Robot game - I like robots so I want to play it of course. It's also a new genre

I am really unimpressed with what Nintendo is offering. There is only so much of the same thing I care about. I think I am burnt out on them or something because I really don't care anymore. I would love a Star Fox game but I think partly that is because Nintendo hasn't gave it much attention and it has lot of potential on the Wii U. I am also disappointed that Nintendo and no third-party developers have even taken advantage of the dual screens.

I am disappointed by the lack of JRPGs. Hopefully we will learn about some at Tokyo Game Show. There is that big one coming on the Vita (Freedom Wars) that wasn't announced as well.

Im actually not so disappointed with zombie games as long as the premise is good. Dead Rising is one of the only few I am happy to see again. Ninja Gaiden Z is a mix of various enemies. I am impressed with it. The Walking Dead has me excited. I don't know. I guess there is just something about zombies...

I've read on other sites that Nintendo might be holding out for Space World or Tokyo Game Show later in the year. Most E3 games aren't even ready to be seen when they're shown and Nintendo takes a long time to make games. I'll bet they'll show Zelda or something new at TGS.

Definitely the PS4 price was one of the highlights. After being blown away by MGS5 and FFXV, I never stopped thinking "Sure would be nice if I could play this on its release" until that low price point was announced!

MGSV was stellar. I didn't think we would see so much of it. Microsoft was smart having it as the opener at their conference. FFXV was exciting and was even more so that they changed the title at the end. I am annoyed that they said there would be direct sequels. Why? That is stupid. Stuff like that annoys me. Now we know there isn't a definite end.

At this point I would be surprised to see Square-Enix announce Lightning Strikes Again: Final Fantasy XIII!

My favorite was getting more information about the PS4. My disappointment was finding out that Microsoft was sleeping with my best friend, Mr. Publisher. That bitch! =D
