Fixes to Blog Autosaving

Just an FYI - I think I have blog autosaving fixed up nice and proper now. I spotted a bug in the backend that I think was causing the failure. Now if a failure happens, you'll be alerted and given the opportunity to copy-paste your work into another editor. If the save process is successful, it'll update the "Last Saved" date in the upper right hand corner. Even if you don't get the alert, you should see a last saved date/time that's very close to the current time.

I don't want to say that you'll never have problems again, but I'm really hoping that the potential issues are now greatly dimished, perhaps to the point where encountering some sort of error is nearly impossible.

Please let me know if you do encounter a problem and I'll research it to see what needs to be done to fix it.

Enjoy!

Cool. Another thing I think would be nice would be to upload pictures to your blogs. As it stands right now, you have to get a websharing service like Photobucket.

Honestly, all I've ever done is copy/pasted from google/bing's search images, and even if not from those sources, copy/paste usually works for me. That's odd.

Anyway, awesome news, Nick!

Why don't you use our screenshots/artwork? It would probably save you some time.

Edit: Actually, I think you might not be able to. When you're logged in if you go to a product (game) page, click on "see more" by the images on the bottom right-side. Do the images display html code underneath them?

I'm sure I can actually add something to make it so users can add our media to their blogs easily. Next upgrade, I'll definitely factor that in.

Hooray! And just for good measure if you can't find screens on google just go to Gamefaqs, they usually have some. I don't know about their off-site linking of screens, but it's worth a try for you the bloggers.

No worries, Lee, always glad to hear suggestions for improvement. Some form of pics will be en route to the game collection, so hang tight!

Hey, Nick. I think I'm having a problem with my comments people give to me. I've noticed that when people respond back to my comments, its starts under as another comment instead of the comment they were trying to reply to. It looks like its just me experincing this. Can you help?

@Vice - That's funny. Replies don't work for you. I'm guessing it's your apostrophe. I'm sure Nick will fix ya right up.

Nice call, Travis, that's exactly right! I'll definitely get you fixed up, just need to add a bit of code to escape the character.

Unrelated, but I wanted to mention that I love the fact that the bar at the top of the screen follows when you scroll down now. Always having to scroll back up after reading or commenting on something was really annoying. It's small but it's a great addition Smile

Haha, glad that you like it! Also, I didn't really mention this, but if you click your avatar it takes you back to the home page. That might help too, not sure though Smile.
