My Sony Confession

Almost all of you on here know by now that im a ( or was ) a die hard 360 gamer and due to recent events with Microsoft and there new system, not only do i feel betrayed and disappointed with Microsoft they have lost a big fan. With that said from the very first time the playstation was launched i was always a Sony fan and as much as i love my 360 it never has even vame close to my favorite game console the PS2 and really the only reason i even switch to Microsoft to begin with was because i got the PS3 at launch and it still had bugs which caused me to over react and trade my PS3, games and PS2 games for the 360.

But to be honest Sony has always been the better choice for me, due to the fact that the library is geared more for me than Microsoft and lets face it, im a Rpg and Srpg and strategy game fan, and i do plan on making a purchase of the 60 gig PS3 mainly for collecting reasons but also for some games i missed, and you all know about my thing with the ps2 and the ps3 has some continuations of some games from the ps2 that ireally want like Disgea 3&4 Ar Tonelico 3 but mainly for Valkyrie Chronicles.

So needless to say this is why im going back to Sony, i really do love the online market place on Xbox live and in a way i will miss it afterall i have been an Xbox live gold carrier for four years, but with the fall of microsoft with there crappy system it finally gives me the excuse i need to go back with Sony.

And then theres these two games that i really want and again i still love my 360 but with the release of the Xbone the life of my 360 is limited so its time to move on and start collecting and getting my Ps3 collection started and i have got just about every 360 game i want and i will keep my 360 and my games for it but its time to go back to where i will be happy, and get excited all over again. And i will be getting a PS4 but i will wait until the library gets much bigger and all the kinks ironed out that usually comes with a new system after all if i would have waited on buying a ps3 upon release i probably would have never traded it to begin with, but i will continue to watch and support the ps4, and to be honest even with my 360 i have always felt like a monority on here since most of you all dont play the 360, so in that retrospective it may be interestesting to get on board with the majority. So with that said i will keep yall updated on when i get my 60 gig ps3, then i will concentrate on the ps4.

yeah the PS3 had better exclusives, especially if you like Japanese games and rpg's and stuff.

It's a good purchase now, you'll be glad u did it.

I've been playing my PS3 a lot lately.  I'm currently playing Ni no Kuni and I plan to start Metal Gear Solid 4 next.  I recently got 2 copies of Valyria Chronicles in the mail a couple days ago.  I accidently pruchased a copy from Amazon and won a copy on Ebay and didn't realize it. Laughing

I wish I still had my PS3. I lost it with my Xbox, which is the main reason I'm a die hard pc gamer. It's kind of all I have atm. I really wish I could play Ni No Kuni and The Last of Us, but I don't think that will happen unfortunately.

Also, as harsh as I am on the new Xbox, look at it this way. Last generation, Sony had a terrible launch, and they came off as the massive cocks. They also bounced back in a major way. Microsoft could do the same, and they have a really solid lineup of exclusives this year. That said, I've always preferred Sony more. It just had more games for me. Valkyria Chronicles, Demon's Souls (I love this game), Ratchet and Clank, Infamous, Disgaea and the list goes on!

I'm kind of like you. I've been a PlayStation fan from the day I bought Final FantasyVII. That didn't stop me from buying a Gamecube the next generation, but I loved my PS1 and PS2.

The PS3, sadly, had too lackluster of a launch to justify its price, and in 2007, the 360 was a better value proposition for me, so I got one of those. But I mostly got it for stuff like Virtua Fighter 5 and Tales of Vesperia. I did try the online Halo, Gears, and Call of Duty 4 communities, but those games weren't and will never be my cup of tea. Also, the good stuff I liked dried up pretty quickly on 360 and started migrating over to PS3. When I saw Valkyria Chronicles, I wanted a PS3. The E74 error was the last straw for me and the Xbox line.

I got a PS3 with Valkyria Chronicles to go with it, and I've loved it. It's been a great system. And with Microsoft making the decision easy with the Xbox One's bullshit, I'll be going in PS4 all the way. I will still be playing my Wii U as well, of course. :)

I'm with you. The PS3 library appeals more to my tastes as well. Only reason I ended up with a 360 was because the PS3 was so gosh darned expensive when it first launched. (Those tossers wanted $600.00 for it! What the hell?)

Yeah, well, I'm still a non-RPG-loving minority, and probably would have owned a 360 had I participated this gen so ... yeah, I guess that doesn't mean much, does it? lol

I would like a 60 gig PS3 as well; being a Nintendo fanboy growing up, I was always secretly a bit jealous of my older brother's Playstations, and I wouldn't mind having three-in-one plus the PS4.

I've been an Xbox fan, but now I'm thinking of favoring PS4 this next gen.

I'll admit I've always been partial to Sony. I've owned all their systems. I've bought and still have an Xbox and Xbox 360, so I haven't refrained from buying other systems too. I love the original stuff Sony puts out though (Legend of Dragoon, Legend of Legaia, Uncharted, God of War...etc). The PS4 looks to be a continuation of the that tradition and I'm all aboard.

Assuming that Microsoft eventually sees the errors of its ways and changes things up with the X1 (and who knows how long that could take), I can see myself getting one too but at the moment I'll be sticking with the PS4.

They would absolutely have to drop the 24 hour internet for me to even remotely think about it.

For rpgs fans, the PS2 was the gift that kept on giving.  It's just unfortunate that the PS3 did not carry on its legacy.  That might be changing, though.  I've noticed a large swath of games coming out for it this year and the next (not counting the HD ports).  Time and Eternity, Dragon's Crown, Tales of Xillia, Disgaea D2, The Guided Fate Paradox, The Witch and The Hundred Knights, Ragnarok Odyssey Ace.  Then there are the games that might be localized like Drakengard 3, Battle Princess of Arcadia, Tales of Xillia 2, more Atelier games, and The Legend of Heroes.  On top of that, there is the possibility of Romance of the Three Kingdoms XII and the latest Daisenryaku game being localized (they might digital-only, though).

The rpg support might be late, but I suppose it's better than nothing.  Perhaps by the time you've acquired the system many of the aforementioned games will be out with many more on the way.
