Here are some dads from video games:

As seen above, Yoshi's a bit of a deadbeat dad, but after Baby Mario, he needed a release.

Hm, Jecht from FFX? I don't know if I would call him a good father (since he goes AWOL on his son for like ten years or something), but I liked the guy as a character.

Well, technically the only good father in my blog is James McCloud if you run with my narrative for Yoshi. So deadbeats aren't off limits. But yeah, Jecht is compensating for SOMETHING with that big ass sword.

Oh yeah, lots and lots of Star Wars games. Speaking of which, remember that Episode I pod racing game for N64? Say what you will about the movie, I remember really liking that game.

Right now I'd have to go with Joel from The Last Of Us. Kind of tragic,but he is a Dad at the start of the game. Do Big Daddies count? The ones in Bioshock that is.
