Hello, PixlBit! My name is Brighat.

My name is Brian Ghattas and I'm from Ottawa, Ontario. I am also a refugee from 1up.com and in fact was the website's best and most honest blogger. In my case, I never was interested in being an attention seeker or looking for approval. All I want to discuss is the honest truth about video games and our society in 2013. I have no ego and no complex of any kind. I just want to discuss my views on life and if you have anything to add or suggest, I'll be glad to respond.

I can guarantee you that I don't blog to feel better about myself or to stroke my ego, unlike many other former 1up bloggers. I'm only here to talk about stuff and get some feedback with intelligent discussion in a civil manner.

I am excited and proud to show PixlBit what a real blog is supposed to read like and I hope to make some friends online.

1up wasn't a piece of shit. Take it back or I'll INTERNET RAGE, bro! Jk, Blake. lol. For me it was the people at 1up that made it great. The site itself was gradually falling behind. (Even if much of the articles were still good.)

As for you Brian, I hope this can be a fresh new start. Personally I think you pegged many of us wrong though. Most of us didn't blog due to egotism. We blogged to stay in touch with friends and talk about what we loved as gamers. I don't see how that is "horrid" or a waste of time but you're entitled to your opinion.

(On my end I do occasionally get flattered when I notice I have a lot of page hits & activity but at the same time that was never my be-all goal.)

I was a victim of the environment. I was painted as a villain and took it too far. I wasn't going to get apologies from the NGR posters or any bloggers from 2009. I was wrong to paint the current bloggers with the same brush and I'm sorry. In a place with rules and regulations, I will behave. 1up was like a prison run by the inmates.

It's good, man! It's nice to have a clean slate. I hope you can have a new beginning here. I know we argued sometimes but everyone should get a chance at redemption and reconciliation.
