An excellent and faithful interpretation of an SNES classic

Dignity Ark

From: Chrono Trigger

Remixed by: Ryo Lion

The music of Chrono Trigger is familiar terrritory to any game music enthusiast. The remixer here (a Japanese fellow that sent his submission email through an automated translator) amplifies the sound of the original track while making it more Chrono Cross-ish. You'd never guess that the opening guitar, which is heard throughout the song, is sequenced rather than an actual performance. The entire piece is sequenced, in fact, but Ryo does an excellent job enfusing it with that human element so often lacking in computer-generated music. The only shame here is that he didn't follow it up with more submissions. But hey, the world can always use more sitar, which you'll hear plenty of in this ethnic-flavored remix.

I should really do some of these.

You should! I have major respect for a lot of these remixers. Very talented folk. I tried my hand at this sort of thing years ago but it didn't turn out very well. Been meaning to have another go at it lately but haven't had the time.

Great remix. You keep posting these Chrono Trigger songs and it just makes me want to play that game even more every time lol. I really should get on that.

I know, I haven't played Chrono Trigger in years. We have the DS version, so I really don't have an excuse lol

Oh man, this is awesome. This was done by a computer? Maybe I could with headphones, but I can't tell. Impressive.

I know! The quality of the samples is great and man, that remixer is deft at whatever program he's using. Impressive indeed Smile

Damm, really nice remix. It's really surprising that everything sequenced, yet it sounds like it was performed with real instruments.

Yeah, you really have to hear it to appreciate how good it sounds.

Very impressive piece. The percussion is awesome on this. Always liked hearing sitar in music.
