I get the argument with virtual memory and all but I just didn't buy Microsofts claim that it had to be connected every 24 hrs, surely they could have developed games that would need online connectivity but other that could be played without. PC certainly gives you that choice and ultimately they are the masters of getting this sort of thing right. I just can't believe that the main reason behind their initial decision was sorely for the benefit of gamers, too much money grabbing got them burned!
Xbone win or loose

The Xbone was defeated by gamers on the internet, and slammed by Sony at E3 but the real thing here is the Xbox One is the evolution of gaming and as old school as i am we either except the next stage of gaming or we stay put. The Xbone if they would have explained to us more clearly when they announced the Xbone, people may have received it better, for one thing the 24 hour connect was different then logginng on every 24 hours it would have been more like when you sign in, actually you could have done it on the pc with a silver account but if Microsoft would have explained in more detail we could have known this and not reacted so harshly, the xbox has actually crippled there selfs with a high tech system that was made to be connected and now with this 180 turn around they limited the capabilities of the system, and for what cause the PRs didnt release clear and accurate info and this has crippled Microsofts system in more ways then you know, by reversing there decision to not be 24 hour DRM but in reality you would not have to wait 10 minutes to check in really it would have took 4 kb and 5 seconds when you signed in and would do this in the background and there was a whole list of really cool and advanced features that potential customers would have liked if and this is the big IF they would have anounced all the features in the correct manner wich they failed to do.
So although me personally didnt like the always on DRM policy it would have been better for Microsoft to stand behind there original policy but by reversing there DRM policy they not only damaged there credibility but there system period. Yes i think it was a better decision to drop there DRM policy but im a old fashion gamer who dont like change and if this new set up Microsoft came up with would have hit the stores it very well may have been very good for Microsoft but now we will not know unless and this is only a rumor they implement there DRM policy on a trial basis meaning you can opt to update to the DRM policy or not, because lets face it theres alot on the Xbone it can do that we will not see unless they implement there DRM policy at a later date, now as far as used games are concerned i actually prefer buying new games cause the money goes to the game company which in return gives them money to make new games where used games dont help the companys at all and actually takes money from them, but i buy used games cause A im a broke ass most the time and B. i like buying older games that i couldnt afford at there release or they dont sell new anymore. But keep in mind im just saying and by no means support the DMR policy, but im going the Sony route mainly because they release alot of Japanese JRPGs that i like but at the same time i like the Xbox live of Microsoft.
