Really?! Really?! (Miz impression) These politicians/ministers really need to get their priorities straight.

"Hey bro, you can watch War Z but you can't play State Of Decay. LOgic, son!"

Protest and petition. Be heard,be read, and be seen!

I'm looking for a petition, and if I can't find one, I'll start one.

so wait, all this has to do with drugs?  that seems quite idiotic.

Idiotic is an understatement.

Coming from someone who's playing State of Decay currently, I find this absolutely ridiculous; compared to so many other forms of entertainment, this game is really quite tame. It's not endorsing drug use, and it's perfectly logical to think that some people would turn to substance abuse in a situation like State of Decay's.

How about governments treat people like adults, and let them decide what entertainment that they choose or don't choose to parktake in? It's not their job to make those decisions for people.

What exactly is the drug content in this game, because unless it is used by the player and gives benefits, it cannot be banned. I still think that is ridiculous, as we had no problems with Max Payne 3.

And you're exactly right, this is pathetic.

I'm not all the way through, but in the game, you use pain medicine (ibuprofen) to heal yourself, and morphine is one of the ones you can use. If that is what they are basing this off of, it makes it even more ridiculous, it that's even possible.

What the fuck?! Max Payne 3 is no different!

Seriously dude, it's fucking absurd.

Yeah pain relief is all you do with drugs in state of Decay, you also set up med areas but I ve yet to see a 'methadone clinic' option!

Fuck oath mate! These fair dinkum wallies in parliament don't know what's good for em!

It's a pretty decent game as well, technical shortcomings permitting.

So is this becoming a pattern? A lot of games for next gen look more violent than this.

Blake Turner Staff Writer

06/26/2013 at 05:08 PM

Has nothing to do with violence, it's because of drugs.

So, by this logic if say a game deals with child prostitution & flesh trafficking (Even if you're the hero or heroine trying to stop it) it can be banned?

There are a lot of books & movies that deal with substance abuse and even darker issues. (Such as the one I just mentioned)

Heck, I recently went to X-hamster and had to question some of the porn available on account there's a section of seemingly underaged looking Asian prostitutes & porn stars who actually look like they're in pain while getting fucked.

I realize even adult Asian women are more lithe and tend to be shorter but I also know child prostitution is a big problem in many (though not all) parts of the east too.

But hey, Xhamster is still "going strong" whereas State Of Decay pulls the scapegoat card!

Something about that doesn't seem right. (And yeah, I usually love Xhamster's selection of porn but I don't approve of all the stuff on there.)

Be careful. They might start banning movies, television series, and books too if this goes unchecked. (Because y'know it's so much easier to bitch about fictional stuff & fictional characters than it is to actually save real innocent human beings in terrible situations!)

Oh yeah. Ever been to Motherless? That's fucking legal, and I'm pretty sure I saw a 14 year old white girl on there the other day. Animal porn is legal, but playing a game with drugs isn't? Not really a fan of Xhamster though. I don't know why though.

BrokenH

06/26/2013 at 05:34 PM

Don't know about Motherless but yeah, seems like shady stuff, Blake. These people need to get their priorities straight. It's a sad day when donkey on girl action is just fine but videogames are seen as a cancerous tumor of the face of morality. Undecided

haha how did we get on to xHaamster!? Your mind is a dark thing Ben!

Townz, we're males. Australia is getting fucked. PORN!!!!

BrokenH

06/27/2013 at 12:07 PM

Foolish Townz! Don't you know my penis makes 80% of my decisions for me?! And Blake's right. Australia is getting fucked so it makes me think about porn...sweet sweet porn with hawt Aussie beach bunnies!

Blake Turner Staff Writer

06/27/2013 at 12:18 PM

We have beach bunnies? Fuck yeah! I want one as a pet. I shall name it toucan, and it can be friends with my beach wallaby!

Also, stay away from my beach bunny, you pervert!

BrokenH

06/27/2013 at 12:28 PM

I don't think "Beach Bunny" is what you think it means!

:-o

Blake Turner Staff Writer

Oh. Well. I like my beach bunny better. Her hips and boobs constitute my entire body weight, and that scares me.

Fran's put on some weight probably due to the inexistence of XII-2

I'm so lucky, I plugged in my X box here in Aus and couldn't download it, I was stewing! Luckily my account is British so I purchased it online via my PC insted and it downloaded instantly when I turned on my 360. sorry to rub it in!

Blake Turner Staff Writer

06/27/2013 at 10:23 AM

Eh, I'm a pc gamer, I'll find a way around it. It doesn't effect me as much as it effects people I know, like my brother who was seriously looking forward to this, and plays on xbox where there is no way around it.

....... This is just getting silly. I need to look Germany to see if they are worse as far as gaming censorship, but right now, i'm just speechless, to say the least, about that. Wonder how can Yahtzee survive there.

Blake Turner Staff Writer

06/27/2013 at 10:25 AM

Germany is worse with censorship. They ban some games with Nazi affiliation, but not others, which confuses me...

Yeah, Yahtzee bitches about this issue A LOT!
