my wife relly wants a piano, and we are difinitely looking at an electric piano right now.  It is nice to be able to still play piano while living in an apartment.

Yea with electric you can control the volume to where real ones will get you evicted lol!!

Go with the cheaper one. My brother has one and he really likes it and has a lot of fun with it at home, even though he uses a real one in his band.

you can't really wail on those digital drums the way you do on a real drum set.  but you can have some cool sounds.

I'd say top one, it'll feel more real, but if both sound great and both feel fine to you, go cheaper.

"EAT DRUMS, EAT DRUMS"

"No Animal, BEAT drums!"

Sorry, just felt like quoting the old Muppet movie.

I think you should sound proof your room where you play drums and get the real thing. Don't accept substitutions! Cool

They do sound good. Big Money is a great song by the way. I love that bassline. Then again, I love almost all of Geddy Lee's basslines lol.

You'll shoot yer eye out kid! OK, that's not right but them sticks might put yer eye out.

Seriously, I'm all for drums that I can't hear. :)

I agree with Abobo, but that just me,lol. I miss playing an acoustic kit. I have a Roland TD3 which is a pretty striped down model plus mine is already 8 years old. Electronic kits have gotten a lot better but its is a real trade off on some stuff. I deffinately recomend going to Guitar Center and play around on their demo kits. Also I'm not as familiar with Pearls electronic kits but Roland has been making electronic kits a lot longer. So although it not as pretty I would have to reccomend the Roland. Plus the model your looking at has mesh heads on all the toms and the two piece hi-hat so its gonna play a lot more like a real kit compared to mine. And the brain on that thing will give you a freaking gymnasium worth of percusion instruments at your finger tips, deffinately one of the perks of an electronic kit.

Actually its a electronic roland built into a pearl kit so pearl is strictly cosmetic the kit is a Roland i did my homework lol!!!

Oh and by the way the kit in that vid is $6,999 so im not going that extreme so if i go the electronic route i will add more later and really the only reason i want an electronic is so i dont endup evicted lol!!!

Drums are soooo expensive, which is why I turned to string instruments (Guitar, Bass). Luckily though, any band I've ever been involved with has had a gratuitious drummer who would often let me play his drum set. I love drums, but they're just too expensive for my taste.

They are pricey but me playing professionally and my son whos autistic and loves drums i think its worth the investment.

As much as I want to say go with the original, if you know it's going to bother your neighbors stick with the electronics. The neighbors will thank you, and you get the fun of playing. Now if the neighbors didn't mind, go with the kit.

I really would like a real kit but with neighbors i may be best with the electronic kit plus that vid made them sound awesome.

Drum kits are cool as hell. My brother played them when he was younger. Had a nice set of Ludwigs. True classic brand you don't see too many people playing these days. I do like the sound of electronic kits and find those very interesting. That might be you best bet to avoid neighbors with torches and pitchforks!
