A Realm Reborn Beta re-starts tonite!

Guys! If you're playing the FFXIV beta, it starts up again tonite after midnight, and ends late Sat early Sun. Put up your status so we can meet up!

I will start in Gridania this time. Are these characters getting wiped? what server are you more likely to be on?

Yeah. These char will be wiped. I will be playing on Gilgamesh I think. Depends on where everyone at? We decided on Malboro one time, but I don't know where everyone ended up.

I'll start a new character on Gilgamesh. I'll be playing a Mantrha as my actual character, so I'm taking advantage of the beta to try some fun stuff.

It's funny how people are trying to finish the game in beta, which is dumb. They are weeks in and complaining as if it were a launch game. I will be trying to craft and try out other classes. Just exploring the beta really. What will your char name be? Update this post.

I want to play this game so badly, but I have very strict rules about subscription based mmos.

Did you apply for beta? They've been handing out codes every week? There will be an open beta next month I think. You'll get a chance.

SE has stated that they want players to get a feel for A Realm Reborn before buying, so there will be an "open beta" period before launch. Currently the game is in closed beta, free to play, and we've been testing both PS3 and PC versions.

Dates for testing are updated every week. There is no conclusive schedule.

I was looking into doing the beta, if I would get invited of course but now that I know its going to the PS4, Im jsut gonna wait for it till it releases then. Dont see a point in wasting money for the PS3 verison in August when Ill want the PS4 verison more later.

Although I think the PS3 version is great, I've also been playing on PC, which has more enhanced graphics options and my preferred version until PS4 version comes out. I plan on posting updates about the beta game on here so you can follow along m-kay!

I may get it for PS4 in January. That would be an awesome game to try out on a new console. Any idea on how much the monthly fee might be when it launches?

This is why I think people should try the Beta out on PS3 first before they buy it. I think the game is like $40 and monthly sub is like $12. I've been putting up impressions, and so has @sneelantern so folks can stay updated. There is a lot of interest in the game.
