A possible Metal Gear Solid remake?

It's just a rumor at this point. But it was reported that Hideo Kojima is talking with a British developer called Just Add Water about doing an HD remake of MGS using the Fox Engine. It would be pretty cool,as I did enjoy Twin Snakes a great deal. Seeing that classic game in a whole new light like that would be interesting to say the least.

I wonder if they will re-do the voice acting using David Hayter again. Or does it mean another gig for Keifer Sutherland? Either way will be fine with me. But I'm hoping for original cast to do it.

You just can't go wrong with a lineup like this. Seeing it in HD would be astounding. Especially with the blessing and involvement of Kojima all the way through the project. Gives me hope that it will be a worthy remake of this classic game.

Even if it was just a graphical overhaul, along the lines of Halo: Anniversary. I would definitely buy that. Same gameplay, just a new coat of paint.

Absolutely,I would buy it in a minute. They did it with Tomb Raider and it turned out good.

Most people probably scratch their head and go WTF at some of the songs I listen to. Gotta remember I'm an "Oldie Olsen" who has an open mind when it comes to music. It helps to be that way when you live in the "heart of country music" as some folks call Oklahoma. I don't buy it.

Sometimes I can't decide if MGS is my favorite or if it's MGS 3. I would love to see a remake of the original though. Out of all the MGS games that's the only one that I've played more than once.

Perhaps someday they will do a movie of MGS. Now that would be incredible. Maybe someday......could happen.

Love the The Cult and SoD. As for MGS, why remake it? The first was fine the way it was.

Some people do feel like you do. It makes folks anxious when they remake classics. It could go either way. I think the story may have been wrong from what I read on IGN.

I really liked Twin Snakes, so another remake would be cool.

Liked the songs today, they both got a lot of spins on alternative when I was growing up.

The Cult song has special meaning to me. First time I heard it I was walking across the border into Mexico in San Ysidro,just across from Tijuana. Found out Mexicans really dig that band. That was a happy time in my life and it brings back good memories.

That's what I'm realizing now that I'm buying retro games. The NES titles are kinda bad on graphics. Metal Gear Solid seemed so cutting edge at the time. Still pretty good for what the PS1 was capable of then.

As others have said, I would rather they remake Metal Gear 1 and 2 as it's such an important part of the story and would benifit from a more theatrical treatment. From what most people say, Twin Snakes is fine as a remake. Wouldn't it be easier to make HD version of that?

Aside from a little too much over-the-top action in the movies scenes (backflipping off a missile? Really?), I thought The Twin Snakes was a very good game.

I think they should just redo Metal Gear altogether and keep it as Solid Snake, instead of having to play as Big Boss and Raiden in the other games. Or maybe just redo the first two games in the MGS style.

But we already have a remake! It's the Twin Snakes! Why would we need one done on the Fox Engine? I'm all for remakes on classics but if it's been done before or rebooted why do it again? Even with a different engine? Just re-release the twin snakes again and work on it's flaws! Or better yet, do that with the Fox engine. Your halfway done right there.
