Games I want on Next Gen (what about you?)

The next generation is exciting for new franchises but is also great to see the potential of what old franchises can do and how great they will look like by exploiting the new hardware. My list is a bit personal. I am sure to be more mainstream, Syphon Filter and Dark Souls by some might be replaced by Grand Theft Auto, Portal, or perhaps other peoples' own personal choices. We know we are getting a new Mirror's Edge now, Dragon Age is confirmed, and we know Mass Effect will be starting a new trilogy on next gen systems. My list is what hasn't been announced in any form yet.

future next gen games?

Sony has a lot of great franchises that they could go back to that skipped the PS3. I consider Syphon Filter a great choose. It was a incredible series on the PSP. With the success and greatness of Metal Gear Solid and Splinter Cell, it would be nice to see what the new game can bring. Naughty Dog has pushed the PS3 to further limits than anyone. There cinematic storytelling is amazing. I loved The Last of Us. It was an incredible game. It would be nice to see Uncharted which always brings some breath taking scenes and block buster like moments. While I mentioned mainly Sony, I really want to see Star Fox and Alan Wake make the job. Star Fox has a lot of potential with a controller with a screen.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Half Life 2 was my first entry into these two incredible series and they have been amazing in various ways. I am excited to see the jump they make in the next generation. The Far Cry series has been incredible looking and loved traversing its vast large landscapes. It will be interesting to see if Far Cry does a whole new environment the next time around.

Dark Souls 2 isn't even out yet. Its the fanboy in me already hoping for a third entry in one of my favorite franchises this generation. I would like to see more Red Dead Redemption. It had been my favorite sandbox game of the current generation. Its also my favorite western title. Bioshock impressed me with its art style, amazing enviroments, and plot twists. I would love to see the series continue. The last but not least is Fallout. I put a ridiculous amount of hours into this game. I would love to see the next game take advantage of the system specs and provide more life like figures. I think we can do without the stiff animations and people sticking so still while your asking questions. That is my ten. What is yours?

HONORABLE MENTIONS: Star Fox, Portal, Alan Wake, No More Heroes

I'd like a new Star Fox as long as they just gave me a good ol' on-rails shooter again, but I'm not planning on buying a Wii U, so whatever works for them I guess.

Right now the Wii U is pointless. I am tired of the same franchises on Nintendo consoles but I am a sucker for new hardware so I bought it. I am excited for X though.

Yeah, that game does look pretty sweet.

These are all great choices. Who knows? If the next gen console lasts another 10 years, devs might have to start reviving old franchises. They got Killer Instinct going right? While I like dark themed games, I actually miss the more light hearted, creative games as well as some other franchises.

1. Rogue Squadron 4 - What happened to this series? We're already getting Battlefront, so no one likes space sims anymore? I guess it's a dead trend since I haven't seen any space type shooters come around. I played these games to death on N64 and Gamecube.

2. The World Ends With You - This is an odd one because the game requires a touchscreen to play. Originally on DS and then iOS, I would really like a next gen version of it for WiiU or 3DS at least.

3. Persona 5 - This game is innevitable, but I would still like to at least see a teaser trailer, and next gen graphics.

4. Dragon Quest XII - The last DQ games was on DS and the newest game is on WiiU as an MMO. Will we ever get a proper sequel on console? DQ8 looked so good on PS2.

5. Tactics & Ogre - I've read quite a few message boards asking about a new proper sequel to the FF Tactics or Ogre Tactics games. I would agree. With the popularity and high approval of XCOM and Fire Emblem, now would be a good time for a FF tactics game.

6. Dragons Dogma 2
7. Capcom vs SNK 3
8. Metroid Prime
9. Fatal Frame - on WiiU!
10. Silent Hill - I still want to believe in this

Persona 5. I forgot about that. That is a great one and so is The World Ends With You. It would be great to see it use dual screens with the Wii U!

I want to try the iPad version of World Ends, but $20, and your hands block the screen.

I'd like a new Banjo-Kazooie game.

A console released Tactics Ogre or FFTactics would be awesome on a next gen console as long as they stick to the game and not try a 3d approach although it would be cool to see them do it like Xcom cause they did that game great. And a good spaceflight sim maybe a Dark Star 2.

Dark Souls III?

The sheer thought of it makes my mind implode.

With Kinect 2.0, monitoring your stress and heart beat? No thanks! Surprised
