Beautiful Acoustic Songs

One thing I love almost as much as metal and prog is some gorgeous acoustic music. Here are some of my favourites for you!
Sleep is a Curse - Maudlin of the Well
By my favourite band, on my favourite album, this beautiful piece of acoustic heavenliness uses twin guitars and serene vocals to create a melancholy yet hopeful piece of music. The weird thing is that this is between the two heaviest songs on the album, and yet somehow it works within the confines of the album. Just an amazing song by an amazingly talented composer.
Hope Leaves - Opeth
Again, this is by an extreme progressive metal band, but on this album they took time off making amazing heavy music and made a soft prog rock album that is completely haunting, maudlin, and awesome. This song is one of the least proggy, but it is beautiful, so it gets a mention. It's also done on an electric guitar, but it's clean, so it's good enough!
Ocean - John Butler
If you're a guitar player, you know this fucking song. I played it for my music course in high school, and holy shit is it hard. It's brilliant, technical, and emotional, and you owe it to yourself to experience it at least once.
Rylynn - Andy Mckee
I want to fuck this man's hands. He is a legend, and an absolutely phenomenal guitarist. His music is heartfelt, and I love how he uses the guitar as both a melodic instrument and a percussive one. Youtube loves him too, because he has like 24 million views. He deserves everyone of them!
Lazarus - Porcupine Tree
Porcupine Tree are a modern day Pink Floyd. They make Prog Rock accessible to everyone, with pop stylings, yet still remain complex and progressive. This is one of their most beautiful songs, and their live acoustic album "We Lost the Skyline" is among my favourites. Fuck it, have another acoustic song by them!
Just because this song is awesome!
Neopolitan Dreams - Lisa Mitchell
Yeah I'm a sucker for cute indie pop with sung buy a woman with an adorable voice. Also, this song is more on piano and xylophone, but screw it. This song is gorgeous and simultaneously makes me happy and sad at the same time.
