For the past week, I've found myself heading back into Resident Evil 6. Not sure why, maybe I liked al the mellowdrama that game's story has or the enhanced control scheme that just feels right after all thoses years of tank controls. However, after playing Resident Evil Revelations and The Last of Us; it more apparent than ever that RE6 has some balancing problems. Like I said before, the game forces you into a lot of combat situations and ammo is still very scarce. When you factor in the J'avo, whose limbs regenerate after being shot off into even more dangerous appendages; it kind of gets frustrating unloading full clips of ammo into these douche bags. That problem is more problem in co-op as well; you're almost better off playing by yourself since you're AI partner doesn't run out of ammo. Another thing that kind of bothers me is how the game kind of wants you to look these huge action moments while taking control away from you. There is one section in particular in Jake and Sherry's campaign where you are running away from a tank in a long hallway; you have to run towards the screen. As you get closer, the games camera decides to screw you over and sudden you find yourself running back towards the tank. It drives me crazy when the game doesn't telagraph these moments to well towards the player; it results in a lot of cheap deaths sometimes. Despite all the crap, I'm still enjoying Resident Evil 6 especially after that patch in January that fixed the camera position. Mercenaries is still very enjoyable but I tend to have a hard time finding capable players online. My niece tends to play with me but she still has a hard time finding her flow within the game.

Another game that I recently finished was Hotline Miami for the PS Vita; I remember hearing about this game late last year. Its a weird mix of puzzle game and shooter, in that you have figure out of the paths of the enemies, the layout of the building and how you're going to murder them without getting shot in the shortest time possible. Did I mention that you die in one hit which makes it very difficult in the progress. Its a very twisted story involving a mentally unstable and depressed nameless guy who gets these phone calls that instruct him to go out and kill people. Hotline has this trippy and intense atmosphere; which is strengthen by it's equally trippy and 80's inspired chip tune soundtrack. You pretty much jump everytime you get spotted in the game. Even though I felt like breaking my PS Vita in half while playing these game; Hotline Miami kept me interested to the end. It's currently $9.99 on the PSN for the PS3 and PS Vita; if you have a decent PC, then you can get it on GOG.com for $4.99 or Steam for $9.99.

In other news, I figured out how to install mods in Fallout: New Vegas. Nude ladies in most places :P

Yeah, thats pretty much for the moment......................................yup, I'm pretty sure thats it.

Love that track; game sounds like a cool concept. I think my computer could run it, but I'm reluctant to buy something in case it can't. It's pretty old.
