Make Them Die Slowly ( Released in 1981) is the title that most people remember about this movie. The real title is Cannibal Ferox, it was banned in 31 countries and of course I have the deluxe edition.

Synopsis

A group of friends are out to disprove tales of canniblism. They have the misfortune of running into two guys that have taken a few of the tribe hostage in the search for emeralds. Well it does not bode well for any of them. Seeking revenge, the tribes men begin their bloody games.

Written and directed by: Umberto Lenzi

The only cast member that has done something outside of B-rated Horror movies is Robert Kerman. He was in Spiderman (2002).

There are a few stand out things in this movie. One there is something actually killed in the movie. Could it be a Human or.... Anyway it is on film so you will know when you see it. If you are weak stomached then I suggest you have a trash can handy when and if you watch this movie.

A few stills from the movie.

Here is the Trailer

With that said and done I would give Make Them Die Slowly a 4/5. If you are into cult films and B-rated Horror/canniblistic movies, then this is a must own. Good luck though, it took me 4 years to find my copy.

Please join me next week, when I have another film qued up for reveiw.

damn this movie looks hardcore.  Banned in 31 countries?  Deluxe edition?

Looks like you found a good place to start your horror parade.  I don't think I could watch this though.  IT makes me squeamish just looking at the pics.  I've gotten sensitive in my old age.

It is really graphic, but I think you could handle it.

Dammit, that stupid guy's castration slowed down the video and fucked up the game of snake I was playing with Youtube's loading thing.

I got through the trailer, but man this does look over the top. lol I kind of laughed when the woman went over to the guy that got impaled and was just standing there "oh don't die now, please don't die now;" well shit lady, help him off, don't just stand there and overact!

This movie looks pretty cheesy. I wasn't expecting them to show that much violence in the trailer. I could probably use a trash can right about now lol. Sealed

LOL. It is cheesy, but man is it intense at times.

The last cannibal movie that I saw, and that turned me off of them was The Mountain of the cannibal God with Ursula Andress and Stacy Keach.  Sounds interesting, but I will probably pass this time.

Yea wives dont get our evil collections lol my wife made me get rid of all my old dungeons and dragons modules and books for the same reason and she dont like me listening to Korn lol!!! But thats where i draw the line. Hey so you didnt like Rob Zombies house of a 1000 corpses. Cause that one was a trip and im more old school horror movies like classics when a strangercalls, excorcist and the shinning lol!!! Good stuff.

It was okay. I just think he could do better. I do not really care for some remakes , but he did a awesome job with the first Halloween.

It's not as gruesome as that film is it? I actually stopped watching that. That and A Serbian Film. Couldn't handle them. That may make me a pussy, but hey. There is some fucked up shit in those movies.

Hey I know a guy that could not get through the openning credits of Faces Of Death.

I think I'll pass on this one. I like my horror movies laughably corny rather than graphically gory.

Sorry Tami. I think I should have picked a different one for my first post.

No worries, Larry. Everyone else is enjoying it.

At least I can kind of empathize with the tribal people. I mean, they get shot at and tortured first. I feel kind of bad for the women but they kind of chose to be with guys who were more or less total douchebags. I'm not saying guilt by association is fair but it does happen.

Overall maybe two gore-drenched for me on a regular basis. Once in awhile I get pulled into watching a movie like Devil's rejects or Tokyo Gore Police but I like to spread those viewings out over long periods of time.

I'm also more of a fan of cheesy comedy horror. Evil Dead 2, Shawn Of The Dead, and Army Of Darkness are some of my favorites of all time!

I have all of those. Next week may be some grind house. I really have not decided yet.

I can stomach some gore, but i'm not sure if I can stomach that by the looks of it, and i'm too much of a chiken to watch the trailer. One thing I know is that this was made after the notoriety Cannibal Holocaust got (I think?).

Homelessrook

it was. cannibal holocaust was made in 1978. this was made in 81.
