As i've mentioned before, im completely hooked on Skylanders. This game may be designed mainly for kids, but it is seriously the most fun i've had with a game for years. As for the game itself, I own both the first and Giants on my 360, PS3, and 3DS. Anyway here's my collection so far...

damn!  that's quite a collection!  I've never played one of these games and I don't understand what the figures do with it.

Basically you put the figures on a portal and they pop up in the game. The figures have a chip of sorts in the base which allows the portal to read them. The cool thing about it is that you can build your character up in one version and bring it to any other and they'll have all their stats and whatnot. It doesn't matter if you start them out on the 360 and then use them on a Wii or PS3. The game and character collecting is just too addictive.

An NFC (Near Field Communication) chip. It's on many things these days, like for example: passports, driver's license, credit/debit cards, etc.

Yes, extremely addictive, especially Skylanders Giants. The only thing its missing is online play for arena games. I seriously wish they would do a Transformers or GI Joe game with a similar concept to Skylanders.

Wow! Looks like you "gotta catch them all!"

I have noticed them on display is some of the game stories I've frequented, but I didn't realize it has become that big to the point of collecting them like trophies for use in the game. A much better concept that just buying DLC digital characters I gather.

Oh yes they are big. People are paying 100s for rare figures online.

I've been wanting to get this game for a while. Collecting the figures looks fun and addictive.

I've also noticed that game DIsney Infinity is doing the same thing. Those figure could be fun to collect as well. Also, I heard some rumors that Pokemon might get in on this thing. Skylanders has been rediculously successful.

Yes it is very fun and very addictive. As for Disney Infiniti, I might hold out on that with Swap Force coming.

Wow!  You have a lot! Do you have any of the sidekicks?  Are you looking forward to the new Skylanders game, SWAP Force?  I hope I get to review it.

You can get some mail order sidekicks if you buy certain packs of Frito-Lay chips.
