Mass Effect 3 Is Ugly

So, I just finished Mass Effect 2 in about 4 days, clocking in at about 45 hours, and I loved every moment of it. Then I jumped into Mass Effect 3. Holy shit is it ugly.

The textures are of a much poorer quality than ME2's, and the faces look ugly as shit. Especially Andersons, he looks like he had his head put through a fucking meat tenderiser. The environments look alright, and the lighting effects are nice, but get close to something, or look at someones face - something you do for 90% of the game, and you start to notice how terrible the game looks. I mean, I spent hours customising my shepherd in the last game, and he looked awesome. I imported the game over, and now he looks retard. Wtf game? Why has the graphical fidelity degraded so much?

The animations also look a bit weird, especially sprinting. It's not terrible, but it weirds me out a little. I don't even know why. That's mre a personal opinion than any fault of the game though. Oh well. Everything else has been improved. The game sounds much better than mass effect 2, except for the guns which sound fucking terrible. The game is just as good from memory, though it's just a fuck ton uglier.

I could have sworn I heard it was only one-half a metric fuck ton uglier, but I've never played it. Probably misremembering.

Honestly; I don't have an opinion on this. I never made it past the first Mass Effect game for some reason. I've heard countless praise for the series, but I've just never been able to finish it.

Yeah? Both games are much better than the first. The second game is one of my all time favourites now. I'd strongly recommend you check it out! The shooting mechanics are much better, as is the ammo system thst replaces the heat system from the first.

ME2 is better in every way. This is still a great game, don't get me wrong, but I just think it doesn't look anywhere near as good. Also there seem to be less choices. I was waiting for the dialogue wheel to pop up a few times to make a choice, but Shepherd just spoke for me. It was a little disappointing. That said, playing as a Vanguard in this game is pretty fucking badass.

Yeah, some of the animations are pretty bad. The little dance scene with Jack if freaking awful.

Yeah. I still love the game though. Some people think if you rag on a game that you hate it. Not true. I rag on games I love!!!! And games I hate. It's fun :)

Yeah, I do the same. I don't believe any game can be absolutely "perfect". You can't get close to a game without seeing it's ugly bits. I really love the whole Mass Effect world and that's why the ending of ME3 bothers me so much. Knowing it details of the world ruins the ME3 "endings".

It doesn't stop me from playing it though.

The world is why I love Mass Effect as well. It's surprisingly deep. And better than Star Wars lol. I would love to see a Mass Effect TV show! On like HBO or a channel that would throw the budget behind it. Set it in a different time period and it could be epic! So much to work with!

Mass 2 really streamlined a lot of stuff, and then they went back and took a huge step back in 3. Like having to go back to the cargo bay to equip weapons and gear. The Ugly character models and animation were mildly annoying compaired to that.

I'm still loving the game though. There are a lot of things I preferred about 2, but the combat in 3 is so good, especially if you don't play as a soldier. Being a vanguard, teleporting into people and punching the shit out of their friends and pulling shields from enemies is so awesome! I travel with a light shotgun and an smg so I still have 200% cooldown reduction.
