Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic is kind of like Heroes of Might, but alot better in my opinion and theres some real good videos on YouTube on the gameplay so if your curios definitey check it out, but this is an addicting game.

Number 2 is Hearts of Iron this is a WWII strategy game and is very complex but at the same time very rewarding, this one definently has a specific fan base and is for the hardcore WWII strategy fan.

Hearts of Iron 2 is the sequel to Hearts of Iron and lke the first its very good and complex strategy game. Like i said if you like WWII you will love these last two games.

Age of Wonders is pretty sweet. Haven't played the other 2. Also, there is a sever lack of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines...

I like the first game. Strategy games aren't my forte.

Hearts of Iron looks like a good translation to PC of those WWII board games by Avalon Hill I used to play. Age of Wonders I found out about when looking up Triumph Studios because of their Overlord games on console. Damn, I've got to get a gaming PC up and running. These are must-play games for me.

I love strategy games but I am usually not the best at resource management. I am pretty good at the fighting warefare part of strategy games though. I have really only played Warcraft and Command and Conquer. Heart of Iron though looks really intense and complex. But it seems like something I would just spend hours playing and figure out everything it has to offer

Hearts of Iron does have a steep learning curve but is a excellent game and the only way to get good at tesource management is practice lol!!! And lits of it.

Resource Management is the death of me. I think that's why MOBA's appeal to me so much because it has the strategy game interface without resource management from what I know. Haven't really ever played one before. I guess I will just have to look into some strategy games that focus heavily on resource management.

Yea I just bought a new laptop, so I can play so more recent games but nothing in terms of a gaming laptop. I play mainly on 360, but I own PS2, Dreamcast, Gamecube and a 3DS. I have a couple other systems but I rarely turn them on.

Well on the 360 for resource management in games i would recommend Xcom enemy unknown, Civilization, Tropico 4, Port Royale 3 and Omerta city of Gangsters. There all very good games and Port Royale 3 is big on resource management.
