I got To The Moon as well. It's very good. I need to get Cthulhu sometime.
So the Steam Sale happened

This is a tad bit late, but I tend to procrastinate.
So on the last day of the Steam sale I got off my lazy butt, biked to Gamestop and bought a $20 Steam gift card. I had made a list earlier of the best way to spend that $20 and get the most games at the same time, but I ended up only buying a few games from that list and a few that were not. There was only one game that I wanted to get fosho' and that was To the Moon. At some point I'll end up doing reviews of all of the games that I bought, but I haven't beaten any of them yet so we'll see.
1. To the Moon
I'd heard really good things about this game. I heard it's a bit short and doesn't offer much in terms of gameplay variety, but I'm a sucker for a good story, and for $3 this was a steal. I'm currently about a quarter through it because I'm taking my time. I ran into this glitch that didn't let me progress, so I'll definetly be starting this again. You can expect a review for this soon.
2. Sonic Adventure 2
I honestly have no idea why I bought this game, I'm a fan of the 2D platforming Sonic's so I guess this is a good introduction into the 3D ones. The Steam versions controls are a bit clunky, and the game is starting to show it's age, but I'll try to get as far as I can in it.
3. Half-Minute Hero: Super Mega Neo Climax Ultimate Boy
This game is just so much fun to play. I had tried the demo of it on the PSP, and I absolutely loved it, but I passed it up for some PSONE classics on the store. At $3 it seemed like a good deal, so I got it. This is another game that will be fairly short to beat, so I'll write a review for it soon.
4. Psychonauts
This is one game that has recieved almost universal acclaim so I hade to get it. So far, I've played about an hour, and the controls are clunky as with most PC ports, but the game looks like a lot of fun so I'll get to it after I'm done with To the Moon and HMH.
5. The Last Remnant
This is the only Square Enix RPG on Steam other than Final Fantasy 7 (which I already own), so being the SQ fanboy I am, I had to have it. From what I played, the game looks cool, but it's not really that high on my priorities list right now. I'll definitely get to it later though.
6. Breath of Death VII/ Cthulhu Saves the World: Super Hyper Enhanced Championship Edition Alpha Diamond DX Plus Alpha FES HD – Premium Enhanced Game of the Year Collector’s Edition (without Avatars!)
A friend of mine recommended these two to me. They came as a bundle, for only 98 cents, so it's definetly a steal. They look like some tidy little 8/16 bit RPG's that I'll get to... someday.
7. Grand Theft Auto 4
I was really excited when I got this, thinking I would waste hours and hours into it, but then I realized that my computer wasn't compatable with it. Blegh . I guess I'll play this if I ever get a new computer then. That's why this game is at the end of this list.
So that's what I got this sale. Next year I will almost certainly be getting more games, so I shall have my wallet at the ready then. I don't know why people were complaining why this sale wasn't that good, but I guess since this was my first I have a lot to learn.
So what did you guys get this sale?
