Kijiji is useless.

Last week, I tried to buy a used Wii U from Ottawa Kijiji. The seller was offering a Deluxe Wii with an unopened NSMBWU for $375. I contacted him via e-mail and gave him my cellular number as I wanted to drive over and purchase it after seeing if it worked. The seller did answer my e-mail but never confirmed where he lived or when I could come over. After a couple of days, I gave up and have yet to find someone else putting a Wii U up for sale.

Yesterday, I sent another pair of e-mails to somebody selling Fight Night Champion for $10 and again, no phone call or response as of now.

Kijiji has become more and more useless every passing day. Many of the ads in the video games section are poorly written and/or cryptic. I also visit the computer section and way too often, the seller doesn't list the specifications of the machine.

I've started selling stuff on eBay again and eating the fees just to get rid of the stuff I don't want hassle free.

I've been playing these two games quite often the last week. These 2 games were released 30 years apart but have a lot in common. They may look simple but are extremely hard and are very addictive.

The 5200 version of Pac-Man is by far the best console version of the game ever made during the 2nd generation. It looks great, sounds great but is very difficult to play. The ghosts are ruthless and their AI is top-notch. If one sees you, you're pretty much screwed. There are no YouTube or DailyMotion videos of anybody doing a perfect run of this game, and for good reason. It's too hard. Even with a good after-market joystick, you're still going to have some trouble. Yet, I keep playing it several times, hoping to do better. Best I've done lately is the 1st Atari.

Transformed, the sequel to All-Stars, is 5 times tougher than the original. It's not a kid's game like the first title. I have yet to win a race on Normal. The AI is ruthless and sinister and the levels are varied and full of surprises as you change from go-kart to plane to boat. While there are plenty of easy trophies/achievements out there, getting them all is very difficult. Despite that, the Sega lore that is everywhere in Transformed makes the game a lot of fun to play and addictive.

It's proof positive that there are hard games that are frustrating but not impossible and the feeling is great when you break through a barrier.

I've also been playing Tales Of Graces F, and of course, Sly Cooper: Thieves In Time. Next week, it's MLB '13: The Show.

I want to buy Transformed. I enjoyed the first one but managed to breeze through most of the races. Tales of Graces and Sly Cooper are also on my radar but I want to get some neglected games like Tales of the Abyss finished first

This sequel is way harder, Peter. You won't fly through this one in a week-end.

Before you worry about a WiiU, you may want to consider holding out for a bit. The only reason I say this is because the gaming library is so limited at the moment. My Wife and I got one for Christmas and apart from ZombiU and Mario, it's basically been collecting dust and there really aren't TOO many games on the horizon. You may be better of waiting for the library to build, and in turn the prices may drop as well!

Agree with this. I own Nintendoland, MarioU, and ZombiU, but aside from those, I'm just playing virtual console games, demos, and xenoblade. It's a nice remote though.

I've never let lack of games be a deciding factor. I bought an N64 at launch with only two games available and only 25 (of mixed pedigree) after a full year. Never once regretted it.

It might be a long wait in my case. My PS3 and PC has much of their software. NinendoLand, Super Mario and ZombiU are the only games I'd want to play. $375 was a great price for everything so I tried to buy it.

Thanks for the mini review of Transformed. I just gave my brother and his family a PS3 and it sounds like a game that he and I will have fun with, I've been looking for games that we can play online that we both like.

My nephew has the Xbox 360 version. I don't know how much he has played of it. He's more interested in me getting him Madden 25 nowadays.

Oh and to actually respond to your title comment, I've never trusted Kijiji or it's system of meeting your buyer/seller in a Walmart parking lot (for example).  So while I've looked there a few times I've never bought or sold anything on there

It's hit-or-miss. I was able to sell my 3DS easily but I find it unusual that I can't buy something I want at the price they are offering.

I've been more or less successful with Kijiji. I sold a broken Xbox (listed as such, of course) within 24 hours of posting, and a copy of Odin Sphere in less than 48 hours. But lately i've been having trouble getting rid of some Warhammer stuff.. I guess I'll try relisting...

I picked up Sonic & All-Stars to try a different cart racer out (I ususally just stick to the Mario Kart games) and it is so hard! I really like it, though. I'm just taking some time to get used to it.

I like the Wii U a lot, but it definitely needs more games on it than PS3/360 retreads.

That 8-bit version of Pac-Man is pretty sweet, all right. It's hard to imagine that Atari went from a mess like the 2600 Pac-Man to a great home version like that. The 5200 also had the only really decent home version of Donkey Kong made in the 1980s, and yes, that includes the 75% complete NES version.
