I might have been a little too harsh when I wrote up my article about Phil Fish cancelling Fez 2. He's still in the wrong, and I stand by my opinion, but there are a few things I think need to be discussed regarding this issue. Like many things, this isn't a black and white issue. Further discussion is needed, and is happening now.

Firstly, Phil: I get it. I've seen Indie Game:The Movie. I know some of the sacrifices you made to get this game made. I understand how much of yourself is in Fez, and that game is a work of art that you should feel proud of. It made me tear up. Really, well done. It's a freakin' masterpiece. I also understand depression, spiraling thoughts, and taking something to mean a lot more than it was supposed to. Been there multiple times. However, you are a public figure now.

Telling someone to kill themselves is not in any way acceptable.
