Community Game Nights: Community Feedback!

So after looking at the response I got to the community game night idea, I think its fair to say that people are up for it! Its going to be difficult because we will have to plan and run them for both systems (I got the PS3, the Xbox360, and if need be I will dig out my old PC because I haven't rebuilt yet). So my questions require the community feed back to make this work.

So to start off, I think a good night may be on like week day night, Monday or Wednesday? I like the idea because its something to look forward to during the week, and sort of opens the weekends because I know everyone tends to be busy on their days off (unless your a bean counter like me and work Saturday's until April 15th >.<). What are your thoughts?

Secondly What kinds of games are we looking at? If we have a TON of interest, its going to get hecktic to manage lobbies of people, but I think its doable! I know not everyone is super up to date on games, and that's fine. I would be alright with some older and newer games mixed in, and a cross section of genre's. Personally, I have been successful using Gears of War 2 & 3 to get people sort of jazzed up and into the gaming mode, BFBC2, BF3, just for sheer size and ability to accomodate a lot of people. For PC, this was obviously easier because most of those MP games accomodate quite a few due to a different setup! However, I think building the Live and PSN communities within our ranks is much more important.

I will note that I am looking to grab copies of L4D2, potentially other games as well!

I don't have any of those games but I could pick one up. I need a headset for my PS3 anyway.

I guess whatever sounds good! I am curious what people are playing that has a MP aspect to it, that may accomodate at a minumum 4 people/group.

I have both Gears Games and would love some 1uppers to play Left 4 Dead 2 with. I can do PS3 and Xbox and am willing to buy a game I don't have to join in the fun. Mon after 10pm and Wed after 11pm are good for me since i work 2nd shift.

Sounds good, we will have to look into that then! is that EST? also I will likely have to do the same! for PS more so than Xlive but thats just because its where most people I gamed with resided! probably won't be the case though going forward as it seams to have balanced out.

I'm down for L4D2, but I'll have to pick it up. I played the hell out of the first one. Week day nights are okay for me. PS3 would be best for me, but I'm flexible.

Any Gears, L4D1 or 2, Battlefield 3, or CODWM3 and I can do it just let me know. I only have them on Xbox360 though.

I'd be down for anything. Unfortunately, week nights won't work out for me. Usually I'm busy chasing the kiddo around, plus I wake up at 3:45 a.m. for work... But... Keep the info posted and I'll try to make it some night!

No worries! Looks like we have to look into a few different nights and various times to get everyone involved! So its likely something that will just go up when it can happen to try to get as many people online as we can!

I'm in the UK so I guess I'd have to stay up super late to participate so wouldn't be able to play all that regularly! I'm exclusively on the 360 as well. Whatever game everyone settles on I can invest in :)

Its quite alright, i'd say atleast 4 people on my friends list over on Xlive are from the UK! So we can work around time and try to grab some of those folks too!

I prefer the PS3, but if most people are Xbox capable, we can do that, no problem. I just need to know what games are going to be played so I can pick them up.

Fantastic, I will try to list them out soon, with my busy season in full swing (and yet only a small period left) I will be trying to sort out good rest of spring and summer fun!

Weeknights do work for me after 5pm. Unless I have to pick my mom or brother up from work. Weekends also work unless something is happening. I don't have many games on the PS3 that are multiplayer, I have more on the PC or the 360. As Snee mentioned I just need to know the games as well so I can potentially borrow them from my brother or friends or buy them it they are cheap enough if I don't have them.

Sounds fanastic! in your case it will likely be the 360, and that is because I think we can generate more people at the same time! That and borrowing games is a bit easier :p
