 Holy damn this is a good album. It wears its influences on its sleeves, but then who cares when it's this good? Taking parts from Nevermore, Enslaved, Dream Theater, and Opeth, this is just a fantastic prog metal album!

Church of Misery

 Bluesy stoner doom metal. What's not to love? This is some fucking catchy shit! Check it out!

Anciients

The album covers everything from Blues to Black Metal. This song reminds me of Mastadon for some reason. It's awesome anyway!

Igorrr

 This list is missing something... Oh, that's right. PURE FUCKING INSANITY! Let's mix classical, folk, breakbeat, and metal. Why the fuck not? This album is insane... in the best possible way!

Karnivool

 Yeah they've done it. They started life as a Nirvana cover band, then turned Nu Metal, then added Progressive Elements to their Nu Metal, then made atmospheric rock/alt metal that was quite proggy. Now they've gone full prog. And it's fucking glorious. There are still pop songs on the album, but now there is absolute awesomeness like this. Seriously though, I'm also going to put one of the later songs on the album to show you the contrast, because going from this to a straight up pop rock song that is catchy as balls is awesome. Seriously. These guys are talented and you should buy the shit out of this album.

 Karnivool is awesome, there new album is currently album of the year for me, even though QOTSA just released a new album. We'll see how that holds up when NIN and Cynic release new stuff though...
