My First Impressions of Operation Flashpoint Red River

So i just got done completing Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising and doing a reveiw and now im starting Operation Flashpoint Red River and must admit everything is better and i had a blast with Dragon Rising, its funny because Red River makes me feel like our troops in Afghanistan must feel and the cool thing is everything is more high tech compared to the gear you had in Dragon Rising.

Graphic wise it is way better as well and to be honest there is more of a meaningful story here as well. This tim it has a deeper narrative-led campaign, streamlined inventory and control system, a refined enemy and squad AI system, player class roles including customizable XP upgrades and load out choice, close quarters combat, new air support options and comprehensive tutorials. Like i said its just better.

The Story is set in fictional Tajikistan, but anyone who follows the news knows exactly where it really is, you know i always harp on reveiwers but only when they dont reveiw a game for what it is and i can say honestly as the same thing was said about Dragon Rising that reveiw a game for what the game is, not what you expect or want a game to do, these reveiwers just cant get it through there thick skulls this is a military sim not call of duty or Battlefeild.

Anyway i think im in for a great game and so far im very impressed.

I like sims like Arma.  COD gets stale to me, I like a more immersive, realistic experience.

Snee this is a military sim no call of duty here, this is as far from CoD as you can get cause i cant stand that genere battlefield, modern warfare very unrealistic so you may like this one cause one hit to the head and its game over.

Wait a sec, Tajikistan is a real place lol.

I appreciate these games that try to be realistic, and not just in a graphical sense. Games like CoD are just mindless, but games like these must give a better appreciation for our armed forces.

Wow thats interesting IGN said fictional but hey that looks about right in the game lol!! Yea these kind of fps games are not for everyone because like i said one misplaced shot and its game over and when i play these games it really give you a sense of what are armed forces really go through and thats scary as hell.

It's not as good as Arma II or even Operation Flashlight 1, but it's still decent.

Not everything is better on pc. Lots of games are actually worse on PC. Dark Souls, I'm looking at you...
