A Legendary announcement of Cosmic Proportions

Haven't blogged in a while and the new Nintendo Direct makes this a good excuse to do so. Plus I saw no one post anything about this so here it is:

I'll only show you some of the highlights or things I liked about it:

Nintendo started off with a bang and wow, was this game awesome looking. The Link they seemed to be using seemed like they were taking cues from every adult Link out there, or getting inspiration from them for this design. But actually, it looks like a Link from a Zelda manga. From the looks of the game it seems like there will be no puzzle solving or dungeons. Maybe there will be dungeons but wont have puzzles int hem. I could be wrong.

Also read that it's a basically a Dynasty Warriors game with Zelda in it, never played the games but I like how this game looks at least. It looks fast-paced. I hope they add more characters fromt he Zelda games too, like Sheik, TP Zelda, and Ganondorf. Heck maybe WW Link and Child Link.I'm really excited for this game, hope it has an online co-op mode, but know this, if we play, I will always have dibs on Link.

Sonic Lost World

What does this look like? Photoshop? No it's from Sonic Lost World on the Wii U. It's a free piece of dlc Nintendo released and it looks awesome. I saw my brother play it and it shows how Sonic would play in a Mario game. Iwata said there will be 2 pieces of Nintendo themed dlc, the one above is one of them. Iwata said there will be one more but that is up for speculation. I'd love to see a DK or Kirby one, even a Mario one and we'll be close to my dream of a Mario/Sonic Platformer Crossover. Heck, they may be working on that, this is just a teaser for it.

We saw this game called Kirby Triple Deluxe at a Nintendo Direct previous to this one. It looked fun, and looked like it was running on the Returns to Dream Land Engine, or a modified version of it. My brother was a bit worried, he wasn't big fan of that game, but he said it was more fun when me and my other bro played with him. It's actually running on a different engine according to an article I read somewhere so he is excited now.

I'm liking the power Kirby has, the new abilities and the new level ideas. Kirby games never disappoint me in any way, they each have their merits and Kirby just works in every idea they give him. I'm also liking the new modes, like Kirby Fighters, which looks like Smash Bros Minus everyone not named Kirby. Hope it has online because that seems like it would be a blast to play.

OMG ROSALINA IN SMASH BROS!

For thsoe of you who don't know, I'm a big fan of Rosalina and use her in every game she's in, which isn't many. I know she is in 3D World but I don't have that game yet. he, besides Samus are my most favorite female game girls ever. I'm just glad she isn't a clone of Peach and that she has her own moveset. I wonder what her final Smash will be, would be cool if she summoned the Observatory and did an attack with it or made it rain star bits and/or Lumas or sumon a black hole, which would result in an instant ko. Thanks Sakurai for putting her in Smash Bros.

ROSALINA IS IN MARIO KART 8?! Someone at Nintendo loves me.

I  always used her in Mario Kart Wii and 8 the most so having my main racer (besides Mario and my Mii) will be awesome.

There are more announcements but wont spoil them if you haven't seen the video. What did you like about the Nintendo Direct? Let me know. Thanks for reading and later.

I honestly don't know if I care that much about Hyrule Warriors. I never played Dynasty Warriors before, and it always looked like a too-repetitive hack-and-slash series to me, but maybe that could be fun.

I thought the footage for Donkey Kong Country Returns and Mario Kart 8 looked awesome, though. It's also cool to see Sonic in a Mario level officially, though also kind of sad. Even though I was a Nintendo fanboy back in the day, I don't like that I'm reminded of Sega losing a lot of its footing whenever Sonic shows up in a Nintendo game.

My favorite part of that video was actually Chibi Robo, which even though Iwata mentioned was a Gamecube title, I never paid any attention to before. The concept and mechanics really interested me. I love how they're taking mundane household items and making them a special feature of a video game. It's also a clever use of the 3DS camera, in my opinion.

Kirby's switching back and forth between planes of the screen has been done before, so I wasn't that interested in that. I know I'm like the only one, but I'm honestly just not that big a fan of Kirby or his games.

NES Remix is a cool idea, and the stamps are a nice touch, but it's basically just Nintendo releasing official mods of their games. I can see why people would like that, but I bet a lot of modders have free content online that's just as good as whatever Nintendo came up with for that.

Rosalina is from Mario Galaxy, I'm assuming? I'd still be more excited to see Simon Belmont in these games myself, but you're the one that actually owns these systems, so I'm glad you got what you wanted! It'd be wasted on me. lol

Anyway, that's my $3.

I missed it, but have little desire to go back and watch it.  I am excited for Kirby and Yoshi's New Island.  I wait with cautious optimism about the Nintendo/Tecmo collaboration...

I'm also happy to see Rosalina in Smash 4. I'm also a bit interested in that Dynasty Warriors Zelda, if only to see the final result of the game, but I doubt it's a game of the main saga. I see it a more of a spin-off game like the crossbow training that came with the Wii Zapper (I think that's the name).

I was excited with mostly everything from the direct but the one thing that made me most happy was Hyrule Warriors! I can only be excited when I think about it honestly, I love both Zelda  and Dynasty Warriors so mixing the 2 is like a dream I thought would never happen O_O

Hyrule Warriors looks great. I've been meaning to get back into DW since I loved 4 and this is the perfect excuse. There's no puzzle solving or dungeons though, just an action game. I'm really excited for the new Kirby also. Hope the special suck ability brings as many puzzle opportunities as the special power ups did in RtDL. I really want those hidden worlds to be in, they were the best part of the game.
