You can fight bears AND grow crops? That sounds like what I would want to do in real life!

Sheperds Crossing: is a farming simulation game kind of like Harvest Moon/Animal Crossing and is published and developed by Valcon games but with subtle differences, and the story goes like this.
After a lifetime wandering a girl named Claire in the village of Sheperds crossing has convinced you to settle down. With a little care an untamed plit of land becomes a thriving farm with a wide variety of crops and animals. You can trade your products at the market for new crops, animals, and freinds, you can go hunting for wild beast and defend your livestock. Guardyour home against storms, snow, and infestation your farm is in the heart of the town. The game seems simple at first but as soon as winter arrives you find yourself struggling for food money etc, then when spring arrives you have to deal with grasshoppers, storms, birds etc but for the most part you can grow and make money to upgrade your farm crops, livestock, etc. you can buy furniture for your home and landscape your yard interact with visitors and visit the three near by towns and in my playthrough it really is a Harvest Moon slash Animal Crossing Hybrid, the gaphics are a little dated which really doesnt affect the game because there not bad, but fans of Animal Crossing should feel right at home.
You can actually battle with your farm dogs
So as you can see from the above screen shot my pack of farm dogs battling lamas that were eating my crops, which is cool cause a turn based battle system lets you fight bears, wolves, etc which is unusual for a farm game, the music and sound effects are right on que for a farming simulator theres very little voice acting most interacting with characters are text wich doesnt hurt the game at all. Now let me get one thing clear you may think this is aHarvest Moon clone but let me tell you itsnot it plays absolutely nothing like Harvestmoon and when you first start the gameyou will be totally confused but like mostgames thats totally different then anythingyour use to playing with time you will figure it out, now earlier i said money but you dont use money you trade everything like for example you can trade carrots for a sheep a chicken for seeds etc. So most of your expenses are done on a barter system so i dont even know why i was refering to money.
So at any rate this brings me to the problem with this game, since theres no money and its all bases on a bartering system theres no beating the game so the next question is then why play well for one theres tons of things to find and upgrade and do so its not a toss in, it will keep you up and it is addicting but theres one thing very unique to this game its turned based meaning each day and night you have a limited moves per day and night which in turn makes you have to manage your time accordingly.
The game is a pretty good game, the controls and learning curve is a little wacky, but over all its a very unique game and i will recommend this game its not great but its not bad either but short of amazon good luck finding it.
My Score 3.5 out of 5 Good
